Dexter's Laboratory has been around for a while, but I've just discovered the pure genius of it. Any other Dexter fans?

Another big Dexter's Lab fan...it's so fun cos the characters are so wacky and larger than life, but so true as well! Dexter is the boy-genius prodigy (who inexplicably speaks in a Russian accent, despite the fact his family is as American as Apple Pie). His older (?) sister Dee Dee is also delightful as the blissfully unaware (but I think she knows more than she lets on ;-)) sabatuer. Of course, his parents are totally out of it. It's a shame I can't watch it anymore as we don't have cable...

hehehe His dad is kinda creepy too, but it's so funny how he's always up to something weird.

I used to watch it all the time because it was always on before "Ed, Edd and Eddy".. I didn't much like it, minus a few episodes that nearly made me piss myself.. I loved the one where he got a dog.. the door to Dexter's Lab was wide open, and his dad was IN it:
Dad: Holy smokes, what's this LAB doing here! DEXTER, GET IN HERE!
Dexter: Dad, it's not-
Dad: *cold, angry tone.. zoomed in close to his face* Dexter, how long have you been keeping this lab a secret... *happy.. zooms out to reveal him petting dog* Cause I'm just crazy about Labrador Retrievers!

I love Dexter. We use to watch it as a family every night - but it doesn't seem to be on anymore and we have cable. My oldest son is like Dexter - very serious and studious while my daughter is like Dee Dee just floating through life everything is wonderful - EXCEPT she is smarter that Dee Dee. Great cartoon! Classic! ;D

I've just realized that I don't really like Dexter's Lab as much as I though I did. In fact, I think the only thing I like about the show is Dexter's father. I'm guessing the first couple shows I saw must have revolved more around his father. It's still amusing enough to watch though.

It's one of the better ones.. Dexter finds a dog, and then keeps it, and gives it a voice box like a human so it can talk.

Yeah, Dexter's Lab was an awesome show. It's a shame I haven't seen it in years.

When does he show up?
Usually there is a second episode on the show, with Monkey.
Monkey's Dexter's pet monkey (What else would he be? ;D) And he has super powers.

He's a non-sequitur.. a short cartoon that comes between the Dexter episodes.
