Subject: The Definitive 90s vs 00s Poll: Conclusion

Written By: Trimac20 on 06/15/06 at 11:12 pm

Sorry if I appear to be post-whoring  ;), but I thought it would be better if I made ALL the options available at the same time, and dedicated a single thread for discussion/comparison of each aspect. So in conclusion, which decade did you prefer?

Basically

Overall, the 90s were cooler. The people, well at least in my age group, were cooler. Now we are in our thirties. Good gravy.

Creedence to that...00s people are shallower, more materialistic...yet more gullible as well

I think b/c, with the exception of 9/11, which pretty much rocked everyone, 00s people still need something that stunts their shallowness and materialism. In addition, all of a sudden they believe they know everything. But I must admit it's a laugh when they find out they don't. As I grew up, I took in everything those before me, related or not, had to show me. I think that was the last time younger people truly listened to those beforehand (I know it's said for each generation - however, I'm convinced it's more potent now).

The '90s are the better decade.

The '90s, because they're my childhood days, but the '00s make better nostalgia.

The 90's all the way. The only people that I can imagine preferring the 00's are too young to post here, but there are bound to be exceptions.

The '00s have more of a zeitgeist than the '90s.

Best decade ever? The good old 1990's! ;) Except for technology, the '00s are nothing like the '90s. I don't care what people say about the '90s and '00s being alike.
