-I think there will be a stock market scare or a series of them in 2007, with a real estate crash, and then in 2008 or so there will be a bad recession that will last for five years. Bush will become really unpopular and a Dem will be elected in '08.
-Emo will be very, very big in late 2006 and early 2007, but will start declining after that and will probably go away by 2010.
-Hipster music will die off and hipsterism will become a little less popular. The boho look will still be pretty popular through 2007, though.
-Sort of dark, clubby dance-pop like Rihanna, or maybe some Depeche Mode-influenced stuff, will be big.
-A new wave of sitcoms will start coming out in 2007 and 2008 as reality begins to die off.
-Old school hip-hop and old school alt rock/college rock will have a 2009ish revival on college campuises that will spread across the country.
