Subject: Fad Diets

Fad diets are definitely something that can date a time period. They started in the mid-'70s with stuff like the grapefruit diet and have continued to today...Here's roughly what I would say the time spans were of the ones I remember:

SlimFast-1997 to 2000.
Atkins-2001 to early 2004 (Atkins is uber-2002 or 2003, very early '00s)
South Beach-Late 2004 to present.

What are your thoughts/memories of them?
