Aw, I actually dig him, although I acknowledge I'm in the minority. ;D
Despite him being to teen/dumb comedies movies what "We Built This City" is to popular music in terms of (good!) cheese, he seemed like a fun guy to hang with. It's like he was the end result of what you'd get if you combined an '80s burnout/hair metal fan with a '90s slacker/surfer dude.
Even in his heyday, he was probably an acquired taste.
