She can't get used to being a has-been, like Redd Foxx.  'Cept Redd Foxx was better looking!

Marlo Thomas didn't sue over the "That Girl" spoof!

Ain't the first time she's been in court, she also sued the National Enquirer back in 1981 for libel (and won).

Burnett is a public figure.  They were spoofing her television program.  They were not presenting falsehoods about Burnett herself as truth (ie. "Carol Burnett's illegitimate daughter now lives in poverty and Carol doesn't care!")  I don't think Family Guy is liable for anything and I hope Burnett loses the case because there will be a chilling effect on satire if she wins.

I didn't hear the "slightly altered" theme song, but if it was close enough to the original, for which permission was denied, she MIGHT have a case...but that's a streeeetch!

Carol probably didn't like the porno shop bit, but Falwell v. Flynt set the bar pretty low!

The episode that she's referring to is a year old and her old sketch show had many film/pop culture parodies and that lame Tarzan yell...

She's probably in need of attention and I doubt that many of the "Family Guy" demographics are familiar with her...

Didn't I see her re-runs on TVLand?  It would do well on TVLand, a big portion of their demographics are reeeaaallly weird guys like me who actually like Andy Griffith!
:P

Noooo! You're weird if you don't like Andy Griffith.

Wait a second...you are referring to The Andy Griffith Show, right? Because if you're under 70 and you like Matlock, then you are weird.  :D
