I couldn't believe the pictures of Sheffield on the news last night, all those poor people whose homes have been devestated.............

Some real horrific mopping up for some unfortunate people, it must be so devastating... :-\\

Amazing that not a year ago, we were all looking at hosepipe bans and water meters...

I was watching the news all day yesterday, seeing how bad the floods have hit the north of England. Then the news seeped through on how the river are bursting their banks with the higher level of water in other areas of the UK. The river Severn bursted it's banks at Worcester with water at the depth of 15ft and the first to be deluged is the New Road Cricket where Worcestershire play (pictured below).

Thousands have been forced from their homes and there are still fears Ulley dam, South Yorkshire, could collapse.

Probably still are given how crap the water companies seem to be  :-\\

Touch wood we've not had anything too serious like it locally though the rain has been pretty much non-stop until yesterday.  I'm keeping a pretty close eye on the stream next to our house, believe me!
