There are festivities here tonight with performances by Low Level Flight (aka Ryan Malcolm's new band) and Bedouin Soundclash.  I was gonna go, but it's big bucks to get in.  I'll just catch 'em on the radio

So how was it for you?

I had a great Canada Day...went to a museum and then to the fireworks. It was so much fun....a very happy Canada Day to all Canadians!

Well, I went to Ottawa which is THE place to be on Canada Day. I saw the free live shows on Parliament Hill (though not all of them). There was Eva Avila (last year's Canadian Idol), Gregory Charles, Dheli 2 Dublin, and some others. Feist played later that night, but I missed it. I got to see the Prime Minister and the Governer General AND Stéphane Dion! Got my picture taken with a Royal Guard, and of course there were the kickass fireworks. There was even an RCMP Musical Ride.

I totally did the whole Ottawa tourist thing too. I went to Rideau Hall to have a look, but the front part of the buiding was being renovated, therefore covered up but we picked some Saskatoon berries and ate them. I also went to 24 Sussex Dr. but forgot that in spring and summer the view of the house is blocked by the lushness of the trees. So I didn't get the awesome photo, so bummer on that one.

A friend of mine made a little music video of our time in the capital for Canada Day. I'm the guy at the beginning on the left with the light shirt.

We're 140 years old, now! Yay for us!

I didn't go see any of the fireworks displays this year like I have before. Shame, cause they're always really good!
