Subject: London Eye Named As Top Tourist Spot

The London Eye has been named as the top tourist attraction in Europe by an online travel company.

The giant wheel on London's Southbank, which opened in 2000, took the number one spot in a table compiled by holiday review site TripAdvisor.

It beat the Tower of London into second place and the Eiffel Tower in Paris made third place.

The London Eye, which can carry around 15,000 visitors a day, is 135 metres (443ft) high and has 32 capsules.
