Subject: "Fire In the Hole" Prank

Written By: LyricBoy on 08/08/07 at 7:30 pm

Here in the Picksburgh area, the local teens have a new prank.  They go up to the drive-in window at McDonalds, shout "Fire in the hole!", and then throw their drink at the attendant, soaking him or her.  They then speed off.  All of it is caught on their video cell phones and then posted to YouTube.

Are they doing this in your area too?  The local cops are getting PO'd about this big time.

First I've heard of this per se, but it's typical of "kids today" who are the "Jackass" generation, and oblivious to the irony of being a "Jackass."  They don't realize stuff they see on TV and the movies is all planned with consent of the participants.  Good news for the cops is: The stupid kids video their mischief and then post it on YouTube!"

Now, if the kids were bright enough never to show their own faces and never to identify themselves in anyway on the video recording, the cops might have a tougher job--but I'll bet they're NOT that bright.

I heard that they were putting tabasco sauce in a drink and splashing them in the face.

I know what you mean Max.  These kids today, they got no respect.

Back when I was a kid, we used to do innocent pranks such as slipping our teacher a couple of Feen-a-Mint laxative gum tablets instead of the Chiclets he had bargained for.   ;) ;D

You think that's bad, someone gave our English teacher a hit of acid. They still don't know who did it, but the woman was never right after that. :-\\

Kids are a**holes in any generation. It's not exclusive to this era.

And I hope the cops catch these buttpirates.

Yes, this has been happening a few miles from where I live. I also heard that pepper spray and battery acid were also two of the things that these jerks are using to throw at people. How sick. >:(

I'm what you would call a "kid today" (i'm 17)  and I think it's a stupid prank! Who seriously wastes their money on a soda or coffee whatever just to waste it! They are giving the rest of the teen community a bad name and making the good kids get bunched up with these dummys.  >:( ::)

Well, if you're intelligent enough to join inthe00s, you're obviously a cut above all those dopes in your generation!

We used to fill a paper bag with dogsh*t and set it ablaze on our teacher's doorstep, and then ring the doorbell and run!
Actually...the gang would talk the one kid into walking across town collecting the bag of dogsh*t, and then we he got back, the rest of the guys had vanished, they went to shoot hoops, and the kid would be standing there all alone with with turdy hands a reeking sack of dogsh*t!
I know....I was that kid!  I'd always fall for that trick!  I was just explaining it to my analyst today...and he handed me a paper bag!

This is the first I've heard of this as well.  I tried finding clips on YouTube, but most of 'em have been removed, so I went to Daily Motion and found this ...

It's really sick how the idiots laugh after doing it and what these morons don't realize is that by throwing the drink, they could take out someone's eye, or while avoiding getting hit by the drink, one of the drive thru operators could fall, hit their head and die.

A stupid prank could lead to a murder charge, and life in prison

You don't know that.  There are many factors that could lead these pranks to serious injuries ...

- The cups could hit someone directly in the eye, causing them to lose their vision
- An employee who doesn't know what happened, could accidentally slip on the spilled drink on the floor, and fall onto a hot grill or the deep fryer, or bang their head against something
- These idiots who throw the drinks could possibly hit a pedestrian or another car as they tear away from the Drive-Thru

Most accidents happen in the workplace, so never rule out the possibility of death :(

YouTube keeps a lid on the sex and violence.  There are other sites that proudly host all manner of dastardly video.  Ogrish is one.  I haven't visited there in a couple of years.  Haven't been in the market for an ultimate gross-out.

They arrested some teenagers for either copycat pranks or the actual pranks that spawned the video. I'm not sure because either the article isn't making that clear or I'm just too tired to read it right.

Good question.  A few years back, the boys at Preparation-H wanted to run an ad campaign featuring Johnny Cash's classic song "Ring of Fire", but the Cash Estate refused the request (you can now hear the song on a NASCAR ad though).

I think that my product ads will had an animated character.  When the person who has hemmorhoids, let's say, a dusty bull rider, cannot stand the pain any more, he screams "Fire in the Hole !" and then the animated character comes to the rescue.  Camera cuts to a new scene (obviously we can not show the product being used) and the victim is refreshed, and resumes the bull ride.

;D ;)

A good idea for the commercial ...

You hear a guy moan in pain, with the word OH in big white letters.  As the word OH slowly zooms out, the O turns into a circular ring of cream that shoots onto some guy's arsehole as he pulls up his pants to say "I feel much better now"

;D

It probably wouldn't air here in Canada either.  It would be a big hit in International TV I bet.  From what I hear, things don't get censored on TV in some foreign countries
