Subject: Local music that you can recommend

Do any of you have any local music groups, that maybe haven't cut a CD yet, but they have a myspace or something of that nature? Do you love them and want to tell others about? Here's where you do that.
I would like to recommend a local band called, Derek White & The Monophobics.
I actually know the guy who plays guitar for this band...he used to be in a band called, The Juliana Theory.
Anyway, here's their myspace link:

I currently have their song, "We can slide"...as my main myspace song. I can't stop listening to it. :)

Well this band isn't a local one in my area...but still...on the same line. And, I am not even bias because the name "Vaughn" is in the title of their band! LOL.
They are: AutoVaughn
Here's their link:

Derek White and the Monophobics sound cool. Kinda like a throwback to those soul pop hits of the 70s. Love it 8)
A local band that I recommend is called Low Level Flight. They have an album out, and are already known for their lead singer Ryan Malcolm, who was the very first winner of Canadian Idol. His solo career didn't pan out, so he formed Low Level Flight. I didn't like Ryan Malcolm that much, but I like him with this new band he has. Their single 'Change For Me' is great ...
