Subject: Worst Song of 2007

Hard to say, but "Hey There Deliliah" tops the list  8-P

I know there's more, but only wrote the titles I know of...

Mine goes to "Beautiful Girls".  It has an annoying voice, an annoying chorus, and just irritates me.  "Hey There Delilah" is pretty average (not bad), but got played way too much on the radio.  "Gimme More" and "Misery Business" are pretty bad, but not bad enough to be the worst.  Kiss Kiss is decent aside from T-Pain's horrible rapping and "Crank That" sucks, but is easy to make fun and use as a joke ("Best Rap Song Ever" tournaments now use it as a joke entry and music fans make fun of it constantly now) so it has at least one redeeming value.  The rest of the songs are actually good.

Come to think of it, I should've voted for Other.  "Ay Bay Bay" is the true worst song this year.  No redeeming value at all.

I was almost set to vote for "Beautiful Girls" until I saw the Soula Boy option.

A Bay Bay, Cyclone, This Is Why I'm Hot, Shawty Is A 10, Shawty, Crank That, Sorry Blame It On Me, basically any gimmicky rap single this year.

Edit I forgot "Lip Gloss".  8-P

I'd have to say Britney's "Gimme More" Please Brit hon, the less the better. Everytime I hear the song, I can still see her half-stepping at the VMAs. It was  saddening and I just hope she gets her self together.  :\'(  i miss the old Brit.

And Umbrella irritates me. Rhianna has a nice voice, and it turned into a cheese grater in that song.  ::)

Worst song or songs of the year:

Buy A Drank, Crank That, This Is Why I'm Hot, Umbrella, London Bridge(Fergie) I think that was this year) what a stupid song.

Too many to pick just one.

Most songs to hit the Top 40 this year are mind-numbingly bad.

I almost voted for Soulja Boy, but I had to pick Britney Spears.  She's just so damn skanky and crazy, that she needs to be locked in a cage somewhere

Somehow I missed the Britteny Spears but aside from seeing clips of her VMA performance I haven't heard the song.  That Sean Kingston song tho... damn that sucked. I remember seeing him on  :-[ one of those lame talent shows (he was the guest celebrity) and thought  geez the contestant is better than the celebrity!

I actually like Sean Kingstons';s new song "Take You There" though. "Beautiful Girls" I think he was trying to soud like Akon a little bit with him being off-key sometimes during his singing of the song.

Most of those are pretty bad, but I had to go with other - "Electropop" by Jupiter Rising.  That song is out and out annoying and stupid.  "Electropop, pop, pop..." STFU; make it stop! :-X  Also "D.A.N.C.E." by Justice...only thing good about that track is that it can teach kids to spell and count to 5.  8-P

In The Netherlands was a jumpstyle hype. Stupid music & stupid dancing. I think these two tracks are the worst tracks of the year (besides the hiphop track 'Yes-R - Hey schatje', but that's a Dutch spoken track so that's not interesting for most people here):

Dj Porny - Me so horny (ex-number 1 hit)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Op3_QT3pr0Q

Patrick Jumpen - Holiday (ex-top 10 hit)

I'll probably go for Beautiful Girls.  I didn't really like that song and it sounds like it should be in 1958, not 2007. Also the Plain White T's song sucked too... I don't really like these rip-off from the 20th Century, especially the 1960s... 1960s and all that music should die, come on, we're in the 2000s... we need a new sound!!!

One song from 2007 I wasn't particulaly keen on was Heater by Samim. It sounds like an ongoing mix of the Captain Pugwash theme tune and it got annoyingly boring after a while. As for Soulja Boy's Crank That, I only like the Travis Barker Remix.

I happen to like "Bubbly"...and btw "Bad Day" was from '06 so that's probably why it's not listed ;)

I also kinda like "Umbrella" so I will not vote for that one.

I might decide to vote for "other": "Fergalicious" or any of those solo songs by Fergy.

That "Bubbly" song foes not sound like anything that Alanis would have done from 1995-1998. Colbie Collait sounds like more of a watered down 1994-1995 version of Sheryl Crow if anything from the 90's.

Bubby is ok. I liked it more at first but I have to agree that it's nothing all that special. It's just a cute kinda generic song, it's ok but not all that good or memorable. Probably will end up being filed alongside the Fray as something that I get tired of.

Yes, "Hero." I liked that one, but I think that was pretty much the last song they made that I liked. Oh, I didn't know Chad Kroger performed a duet with Josey Scott, using that song. I'll have to check that out one of these days. I didn't see the movie when it came out in May of that year. I saw it on video a few months later. I liked it a lot. Also, the 2nd Spiderman film is good. I saw that at the Imax in Dublin.

Yeah, but many artists sell a lot of records and in which that hardly ever regards that they are actually as good as their high selling numbers show. Sometimes people just don't realise at the time of purchase that the album is not all that good after a few months and eventually you find them sold back as used CDs.
