Subject: New Game Show on G4 Network - "Hurl"
Written By: LyricBoy on 05/17/08 at 7:43 pm
I just saw an ad for a new game show on the G4 Network.
What they do is line up three contestants and have them pig out on all sorts of greasy foods and whatnot. Then they put them in these gyroscope thingies where they get spun around in all three axes.
Last one to puke wins the game. 8-P
Thus the game's name... "Hurl". ;D
Show premieres on July 15. I figure either Pepto Bismol or Bounty Paper Towels would be good sponsors. ;)

Oh dear. That does not sound appealing at all. I can't even take it when hubby gets sick, and I sure as heck am not gonna watch someone else throw up. 8-P

Agreed!! What kind of sicko freak would want to get sick just to win something? That doesn't make any sense! 8-P

Yeah, it was one of the many stations that changed its identity during the past few years. I never really watched TechTv, but I'm pretty sure it was WAY better than its successor.

Well, if somebody offered me, say, $1,000,000 to blow chow, I guess I'd be up for it. ;D

Yes, back in the early '00s TechTv's line-up was about 95% related to video games/computers/etc. Now on G4, there's only about 3 hours worth of technology related programing on an average day. The rest of it is either stupid game shows like this or re-runs of Cops 8-P

Last night, I saw an ad for ABC's clone of American Gladiators, but with less-fit contestants, and more slapstick. In the intervening 24 hours, I'd forgotten the name of it, but the preceding screencap pretty much summarizes what I saw on the TV. And when I googled for "ABC Ow My Balls", I found out that I'm not the only one to draw the obvious parallel between Idiocracy's Ow! My Balls! and ABC's Wipeout.
Idiocracy wasn't a comedy. It was a documentary.
