Subject: My grandma is ill.

Written By: MrCleveland on 06/08/08 at 8:37 pm

She has been for over a week.

We've been taking her to the hospital a lot and now her legs are a bothersome.

I hope this doesn't dampen my plans for next weekend, but they might.

I'm sorry, but your last sentence sounds really callous. Both of my grandmothers are dying, and their last words or moments would outweigh whatever crap plans I had going. And I sure as hell wouldn't bitch about it, either.

I agree.

But I am sorry that she is ill and I do hope your Grandma gets better soon.

He's autistic. Sometimes autistic people have inappropriate emotional responses (I'm autistic), so I think this might be understandable.

I hope your grandma gets better. :)

Probably.

BTW, Autism....not an excuse, mmmkay? I know quite a few people with Autism, and they don't milk the hell out of it or use it as excuses for everything wrong with their lives.

This is a strange post.  Why would you mention your plans for next weekend?  Are you going to the moon?  I can't imagine even that being more important than my grandmother's health.

I just lost my grandmother in February and I am still grieving-A LOT. My advice and spend as much time with your grandmother as you can.

Thank you.

At least someone here feels the pain. But she's okay right now.

Ditto.  I have not had any grandparents since 1967.  Enjoy them while you can!

I am glad she is okay.  Do try to spend as much time as you can with her.  Time can be so short.

I'm very sorry to hear... definitely spend as much time with her as possible. In the future, nothing would make you feel worse than not having done so. I hope everything turns out alright.
