Heath Ledger will win the Supporting Actor award, as Hollywood has a penchant for glamourizing drug addicts who orphan their children.

Heath will be the obvious win for sure, but I really want Downey Jr. to get it.  It's about time comedy roles got recognized at the Oscars.

The Oscars are usually all about the boring films that nobody saw

I want Kate Winslet to win best actress because she's hot and a good actress!

Oh, and I don't think Brad Pitt is that good of an actor.  :-X

My picks:

Best Picture: Slumdog Millionaire
Best Actor: Sean Penn
Best Actress: Meryl Streep
Best Supporting Actor:Heath Ledger
Best Supporting Actress: Marisa Tomei (just kidding: Kate Winslett should win, but I think Taraji Henson might steal it because she's gotten some late awards.)
Best Director: Danny Boyle (Maybe Gus Van Zant, if only as Academy payback to the gay community because of the Brokeback Mountain snub)
Best Foreign Language Film: Haven't seen any, but I'll pick the Israeli film because it was the only one that got a wide release.
Best animated film: Wall-E
Best adapted screenplay: Frost/Nixon
Best original screenplay: Milk (Though it should be excluded because it was based on the doumentary "The Life and Times of Harvey Milk").
Best score: Benjamin Button
Best Song: Down To Earth from "Wall-E"
Best featured documentary: Man On Wire
Bset Makeup: Benjamin Button
The rest of these I don't really give an s*** about.

P.S.: If you want to compare the winners with the predictions of my fav YouTube chick, here you go:

And she's over 18, so no dirty old man rants. ;)

Well, predictably, "Slumdog Millionaire" was the big winner, with 8 awards, including Best Picture. Kate Winslett also won (no, I wouldn't want to party with her), which I missed but didn't mind it. Sean Penn won, too, even though everybody wanted Mickey Roarke to win (but why would the stiff Academy members want to award a film about professional wrestling?) I missed the Best Adapted Screenplay on "Frost/Nixon", as did Nadine. But she got more of them right than I did. Hopefully, I can do better next year.

There was such a big deal of Angelina's reaction to Jennifer Aniston at an Oscar press gathering backstage. Like who cares about either one of them? The ignorance of both these hens are the big reason I don't see movies anymore. Let's hope we don't see anymore of Brangelina for the rest of the year (doubtful, I know :-\\)
