Judge Judy, Judge Marilyn Milian and Judge Joe Brown, in that order.  I also love Judge Alex and Judge Christina.  Mostly Judy, though.  She won't take any crap off of anybody. 

Judge Marilyn Milian is pretty cool, I like Judge Mathis. I kinda like Judge Judy,but she can be quite sarcastic and down people.

I would say Judge Wapner, yeah, definitely Wapner.

He was the original real TV judge.  Prior to that you had junk like Divorce Court with Judge Keane where the whole thing was scripted and staged.  What I liked about Wapner was his grandfatherly manner.  He wasn't there to preach and perform (like Judge Judy and Judge Joe and the clowns that came after him), he was there to decide.  I found that comforting.  People used to say he was rude and short-tempered.  They didn't get it.  The people in front of him were idiots.  He's got 8 1/2 minutes to sort out a quarrel between four yahoos from San Bernardino over a dent in a pickup truck.  So, he needed to be assertive and take charge.  That's the way judges have to be from small claims on up.  

Judge Judy in the '90s is the one who started actually calling the idiots idiots (You, sir, are an idiot!).  I don't know whether it was deliberate or not, but Wapner was understated, which made it more fun for the viewer.  Show don't tell, as they used to say in writing classes.  Let the idiot reveal himself.

Doug Llewellyn, on the other hand, was Tom Brokaw-lite.  I didn't care for him.

I picked Mr Mathas.  That guy is ruthless.

You might not realize this if he's still on the air because I haven't watched Judge Mathis in 2 years but he's been on the air for a decade. Thats a long time for a judge to be on TV.

I like Judge Alex he;s funny but when its time to lay down the law he lays it down!

Judge Millian knows how to run a court room! Obama should nominate her to the supreme court!

They must have played his reruns for a long time, because it was not until AFTER 2005 that I first saw Judge Larry Joe.  ;D

Oh yeah Mablene Ephraim was da bomb.  Much better than the current Divorce Court judge.

She quit the show on "principle".  As a black woman she saw that she was getting paid much less than other TV judges pulling in comparable ratings, so she told the producers to go pack sand.
