channel 4 here in the UK had a programme "the greatest songs of the 00s" and the top three were

the list was formulated by so called experts and critics.

Damn I remember just about all of these, they really take me back.

A lot of those songs are a soundtrack to my life to me, though most of are outdated and ridiculed.  I thought back then times were tough, I can't imagine growing up during the current recession of today.
