There's too many to list, but the one that comes to mind, only because it is the most recent one from 2009, is "I Love College" by Asher Roth. Another song I hated is "You're Beautiful" by James Blunt. "Laffy Taffy" is also pretty bad, as well as "Ay Baby" by Hurricane Chris.

"Show Stopper" by Dannity Kane
"Me Love" by Sean Kingston
"I Don't Wanna be in Love" by Good Charlotte
"If Everyone Cared" by Nickelback <<<<<---------this one's probably the worst of the decade. The music video is atrocious as well.
"This is Why I'm Hot" by Mims

In my opinion...anything between 2005-2006 :/
Those were like the disaster years of music to me. I don't think music got
better until about late 2008 when the synthy sorta 80's styled stuff started getting popular
and now (not seeing as many rap songs on the Billboard Hot 100 Top 10).
In my opinion the songs I got the most tired of was---

*Laffy Taffy- D4L
*That "Had A Bad Day" song- (I forget)
*You're Beautiful- James Blunt
*I'm Yours- Jason Mraz
*Any Justin Timberlake song...I swear that Future Sex/Love Sounds CD was wayyy overrated.
Like thats all you EVER heard on the radio was JT when that album was popular.
*Any song using Timbaland's annoying beats...they all sound the same!
*Sean Kingston's songs
*JUSTIN BIEBER! EW! YUCK! :O His songs sound sooo outdated to me...like it could have came out in '06.
*Nickelback's stuff...I mean I honestly couldn't tell the difference between ANY of his songs.
*This is Why I'm Hot- Mims
*Party Like a Rockstar- Shop Boyz

...and thats about all I can remember at the moment :P oh wait! did I mention Justin Beiber? x)

Yep, one point for Daphne and Celeste's "UGLY", and for recognizing that D&C were also responsible for the musical abortion of "Ooh, Stick You".  The album was We Didn't Say That, and the opening sentence of the review sums it up.

It gets cheesier.  For instance, according to this interview Celeste has an unhealthy fetish for peanuts.  (It's like a horror movie, isn't it?)  But if you were ever wondering whatever happened to Daphne and Celeste after the debacle at Leeds, well, there you go.  And even as recently as last week, people still remember.

"Got your laser gun?"
"Yeah, how's my hair?"
"Whoo!"
"Here they come, let's lock and load!"
"One false move and the glitter bomb will explode!"
 - Daphne and Celeste, Spy Girl.

And you should all be thankful that I only gave you enough info to google for it, rather than the link to the whole thing.  This is an album so atrociously bad it's awesome.  Consume carefully, and temper that saccharine with alcohol ;)

2007 had some of my favorite songs/music of the '00s but the stuff that was bad was REALLY BAD!!! The '00s was a very polarized decade quality wise, some of the good stuff is very good(better than the '90s) but the bad stuff is some of the most horrible music to hit the charts, especially around 2006/2007(Crank Dat being a number one hit, it would have NEVER happened in the '90s or prior).

Worst song of the 00s?

Any song that has the word "Dis", "Dat", "Wit", "Luv" or any other misspelling of a common word.
All these rap songs with the ridiculous titles, I just do not understand

I agree.  ::)

This is subjective, of course, but I believe that these are some of the worst songs of the 2000's:

* "Drop It Like It's Hot" - Snoop Dogg ft. Pharrell (2004)
* "My Humps" - The Black Eyed Peas (2005)
* "Chamillionaire" - Ridin' ft. Krayzie Bone (2005)
* "You're Beautiful" - James Blunt (2005)
* "Crazy" - Gnarls Barkley (2006)

There would be others, but I can't think of any more songs at the moment. Generally speaking, the Mid 2000s were awful for music.  8-P

These songs are pretty terrible...

* Break Up / Mario feat. Gucci Mane - A song so ghastly it's pretty much scary. If you want reasons to hate it, go watch Todd in the Shadows' review of it.

* Laffy Taffy / D4L - I literally gave up on the Top 40 in America for a while after this reached #1.

* Axel F / Crazy Frog - I can't believe this embarrassment was my introduction to one of the greatest instrumental themes of the 80s. Aside from Cascada's "Everytime We Touch," this was like the only song Americans associated with dance/electronica for a while, which for me was painful growing up.

* When You're Mad / Ne-Yo - Forget about "Blurred Lines," THIS is shameless, offensive misogyny.

* When I Grow Up / Pussycat Dolls - This pretty much perfectly sums up everything that caused music to decline since the start of the new millennium. Instead of melodious, dynamic productions with earnest messages, we get a half-assed beat, childish rantings in place of competent compositions, and lyrics that are full-on hedonistic, selfish, and trashy, impossible for me to identify with.

* Grind with Me / Pretty Ricky - Blech.

* This Is Why I'm Hot / Mims - Really, a solid chunk of snap music from 2005-2008 could make this list, but this and "Laffy Taffy" are the two biggest offenders. "Crank That" actually enters so-bad-it's-good territory for me, but for the most part, Dirty South pop rap was such crass, unpleasant garbage at the time.

* My Humps / The Black Eyed Peas - It's actually better than "M.I.L.F. $," but that doesn't say much. It's still pandering to the lowest common denominator and wastes Stacey Ferguson's talent that was once in full bloom when she was with Wild Orchid.

* You Found Me / The Fray - I've actually warmed up a bit to "How to Save a Life" and especially "Over My Head (Cable Car)," but this song here is still like the textbook example of straight up boring music for me.

* Grillz / Nelly feat. Paul Wall and Ali & Gipp - Nelly is one of the most hit-or-miss artists ever for me. For every "My Place" or "Just a Dream" he recorded, there was something like "Hey Porsche" or this.

* What About Us / Brandy - I love Brandy's 90s hits, but what happened here? That beat is just utterly uncomfortable.

* Leat wit It, Rock wit It / Dem Franchise Boyz - Ugh god, why was this dance music for Americans in the mid-late 2000s instead of what Britain and mainland Europe were getting simultaneously?

* It's Goin' Down / Yung Joc - As an Ameircan, I'd have traded this in for "Biology" or "I Said Never Again (But Here we Are)" as a hit single in a heartbeat.

* Shoulder Lean / Young Dro - Oh, it's so...mean, unpleasant, bitter. It just so does not resonate with me in the least.

* Sexy Can I / Ray J - "Wait a Minute" had a spicy Neptunes beat. This is just...ugh.

* Bossy / Kelis feat. Too S$hort - I'm actually a fan of "Milkshake." This, on the other hand, is yet another "song" that sounds more like a 5-year-old being transcribed to pop music and just makes me question how we could falter so much as a species.

* Pop, Lock & Drop It / Huey - Oh yeah, this totally deserved popularity over Take That's "Shine." I could write a better rap in my sleep.

* We Fly High / Jim Jones - People really let this get big?

* A Bay Bay / Hurricane Chris - It just isn't good.

* Throw Some D's / Rich Boys - A good song to make you go mad.

* Put On / Young Jeezy feat. Kanye West - "Amazing" is a far superior duet between these two.

* Swing / Savage feat. Soulja Boy Tell 'Em - More trashy snap.

* Chain Hang Low / Jibbs - So many talented musicians competing for fame, and you handed it to somebody who interpolated something you could hear on Barney & Friends?

I must confess, I actually really liked "Crazy Frog" at the time. I blame it on the fact that I was only 6. :P

I think the passage of time has made the Mid 2000's seem like a much better period for music than it actually was. In reality, it was probably one of the worst periods for music since the Early '60s. Although there was still diversity on the charts, many of the releases were exactly like how you describe them; childish, bland and blatantly commercialised. I wish that I hadn't of experienced half of my core childhood during the period, because I can even remember disliking a lot of the songs at the time.

A member on my forum shared this song in one of the threads. I completely forgot about this song to be honest, but jeez, this is awful!  8-P It would definitely have to be one of the worst songs of the Mid 2000s, IMO.
