yeah....and it was quite effective....well it was until they showed us "The Creeper" once the villian was known there was little to be afraid of.

It was a pretty cheesy film, the sequel sucked too!

I liked the sequel way better.... The thing is they did a pretty good job in the beginning of building suspense and getting a good cringe factor going but the creeper looked ridiculous and there was nothing stunning or spectacular about him chasing people down in his beat up old car trying to kill them....

I love the horror  genre but hate when they screw it up.

It's not a man, it's some immortal creature who uses peoples body parts. Once every so many harvest times it comes to life. I really only liked it's COE it drove. Damn I want it.

There's the fantastic Mr. Artie Shaw from 1939:

Vocal: Tony Pastor
Drums: Buddy Rich
Tenor Sax: George Auld
Clarinet, bandleader (Artie Shaw and His Orchestra): Artie Shaw

Music: Harry Warren
Lyrics: Johnny Mercer

It was also in a 1938 Ronald Reagan movie "Going Places."

The first half is far more effective than the second half. Totally agree.

That said, its still very good. The ending is really unnerving.

Have you heard of the similarities between the opening scene of Jeepers Creepers and a real life murder on Unsolved Mysteries?

I hadn't heard this. I'll have to watch these later. I'm intrigued.

I mean, the only similarities were the two people being passed and harrassed by an unknown vehicle and then they drive past the truck later... but it was kinda interesting coincidence.  There used to be a clip comparing the two but it was removed... so I had to make do with what I could find...

I liked them. Im not really a horror fan so these were about as "scary" type of movies as I would like to go.

I agree. The first 20 mins-ish was absolutely brilliant. It was at the part where the protagonists ran the 'man' over and reversed over him several times and then he got back up that I realised this thing had hit the shark. Sad really.
