Subject: Does anyone remember this song?

It's one of those last 'feminist pop' type songs I remember being popular. I can't believe it's from 2005, it seems a lot older than that to me. I couldn't imagine this being a hit today.

How do you remember that song though?

These days I'd consider a "hit" at least Top 20

They must have played it more often than that. I've noticed a lot of songs barely chart for some reason but are still heavily played. Perfect example Lights - Ellie Goulding. That song was getting tons of rotation before it even reached #50.

This song always reminds me of the day my mom died.

It was April, 2005, and as we all left the hospital for the last time, this song came on the radio.  "Just breathe."  It was the perfect advice at the time.

About 50% if not more of music still sounded 90s in 2005.

That song did get to #2 though, so it was a big hit.

Yeah I remember that song.  Adult Contemporary stations still play it quite regularly.

I viewed Just Breathe as one of the Grey's Anatomy songs.

I think this song was so popular because of Grey's Anatomy. I don't remember exactly when I heard it about it the most, I just know that most people know it from the classic GA episode.

Well there was no grunge in 2005 and Hip-Hop sounded different in 2005 than in the 90's. Maybe it's a little similar to late 90's/early 2000s music but not 90's music in general to me.

Post grunge lasted up through 2007.
