Subject: which part of the 2000s had the better movies?

Written By: sonic2005 on 07/05/15 at 12:36 am

idk I would say the early 2000s (more specifically 2003) but then again the late 2000s had some very good movies as well...

I'd go with the early 00s! The Mid 2000s movies were probably the weakest part of the decade!

I'm not sure, but according to my memories and experience, 2000-2004 had the best movies of the 2000's decade. 2001 was extremely epic though, probably the best year for movies of the decade, and that year had many movies that would define for at least the rest of the decade.

I thought  that 2003 was a little better!  2007 is widely considered by critics and moviegoers to be the best year for movies of that decade

Each of it's own years had their better movies.

Here's why I think 2001 was one the best year for movies in the history of mankind.

1. Shrek (which would bring out the next 3 movies later in the decade)

2. The Fast and The Furious (which franchise is still going on today)

3. The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring (then the next two came out the following years)

4. Spy Kids (now I know not everybody will agree with this, but as a kid, this movie was epic, once again, the next two came out the following years)

5. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (1st and original Harry Potter movie, which ended up being the BEST series of movies for ANY book franchise, it lasted throughout the entire 2000's onto the beginning of the 2010's)

2002 and 2004 were pretty awesome as well, but not the best. Now I know there's more to this, but what's your reason on why 2003 was a better year for movies?

I liked 2003 better because it had, Lord of the rings return of the king(the best in the series), X-MEN 2, Italian Job, Mystic River, Finding Nemo, Pirates of the Carriaben, Lost in Translation,Underworld,Love Actually, Kill Bill, Monster, elf, Peter Pan, The Last Samurai etc.

I think 2006 was the weakest of the mid-2000s movies

I agree. I also think 2005 was the BEST year for movies, of the entire decade.

I wouldn't say it was the best year. I'd go with 2001 or 2003. 2005 was pretty decent but did have its ups and downs. I saw Fantastic Four in theaters that year, also Shark Boy & Lava Girl was pretty imaginative to my head at the time as well, not as good as the Spy Kids movies IMO but it was decent at the time. The Charlie & the Chocolate Factory remake was released that year, as well as Madagascar. But Fantastic Four was where it was at! I think I had a crush on Jessica Alba at the time when she played Invisible Woman ;D

For me it was Batman Begins, hence my username. I think it was the best one out of all the Batman movies, with the 1989 Batman as a close 2nd, and the Dark Knight not too far behind. Also in 2005 was Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Madagascar were two of my favorite movies in my childhood. I adore them.

The dark Night was great. It made me see why people were into superhero films so much.

In my opinion, the mid 2000s have the best movies. Especially 2004 and 2005. 2006 wasn't that good when it comes to movies.
