Subject: Memorable Songs From Cartoons/Kid Shows

Written By: 2001 on 03/13/16 at 10:59 am

I felt the desperate need to make this thread after linking Shiny Teeth And Me from The Fairly Odd Parents. This one is even sung by Chris Kirkpatrick from NSYNC himself.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcQeeWmgrE4

I think an early 2000s kid anthem has got to be the F.U.N song from Sponge Bob!

F is for friends who do stuff together
U is for you and me
N is anywhere and any time at all
Down here in the deep blue sea
  :D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KqhfLTsEeZg

What about you guys? I think there are seriously 50 memorable songs from Sponge Bob from the early 2000s alone.  ;D

Can we post theme songs from memorable kids shows? If so, then that would be cool.

I was looking more for songs that people would sing along to long after they've grown up, but if it's a catchy song then I'm not stopping you ;)

Fun Center from King of the Hill was very memorable to me. I remember first seeing this episode and falling in love with it. It's even preformed by Green Day:

Well, yeah. It's a Hardcore Punk song. They're usually 30 seconds to a minute. If you don't find that song memorable then I just don't know what to say.

Couldn't really find any video with visuals on this song, but I'll just put one with lyrics. This is "Kids Just Being Kids" from the Fairy Odd Parents' summer musical. :)

"Silly Songs with Larry" from Veggietales, there would always be a different one each episode.

I know for a fact The Powerpuff Girls had a lot of theme songs too. I think Signal In the Sky and Go Go Monkey Go were the ones I remembered the most.

"The Boys In Motion" from That's So Raven LMAO it was too corny!

Does the song have to be from 00s shows only? Because this is my favorite one, but it's not 00s or even 90s:

This song, I feel, encapsulates the wonder, innocence, and adventure of being a kid like nothing you've ever heard, or ever will hear.

Omg, Signal In The Sky! I completely forget about the one! "Power super super superpowers" used to ring in my heads sometimes, but I forgot where I heard it.

Never having listened Charlie Brown music is akin to never having watched Star Wars, imo. ;D

Vince Guraldi is a genius, imo. Unlike artists like Kenny G, he somehow made jazz that was smooth, but not cringeworthy, and very emotionally rich. These songs, for example, perfectly capture the feel of 70s suburbia and sunsets:

Kenny G sucks. He's like the Hawthorne Heights or Aiden of Jazz and he is to that what they are to Emo.

I noticed. ;D

But it's still the truth! He might as well be called "Myspace Jazz" or something. At least My Chemical Romance had Bullets (their only real Post-Hardcore album) before becoming a complete turd of a band. What's Kenny G got? Nothing, he's always sucked. Kenny G and his wacky hi-jinx is more comparable to bands such as From First to Last and Black Veil Brides than to Miles Davis. Kenny G "Jazz" fans are like Pierce the Veil "Screamo" fans.

Most Gen Y-ers and possibly some early Z-ers stopped watching Pokemon when Misty left, but if they "soldiered on", they probably watched these as well as the originals.

Most people I know say they stopped watching around Battle Frontier, because the voice actors changed.

I still enjoyed watching Pokemon Advanced, Advanced Challenge, and Advanced Battle on Kids WB from late 2003-mid 2006, however, I agree that the original 1998-2003 series was better. Most of the classic Pokemon episodes I caught through reruns on Cartoon Network, while Johto League Champions and Master Quest were the first couple of seasons I caught on Kids WB.

A lot of these themes as memorable are very accurate. I'll add, admitting I didn't read the earlier posts:

Freakazoid Opening.
Dragon Ball Z - Rock The Dragon
Digimon Digital Monsters Opening
Samurai Jack Opening
The Proud Family Intro. While it doesn't feel widely memorable, its definitely memorable among African Americans.
Kim Possible Intro. Definitely one of the most memorable kid themes of the 2000s.
Kirby Right Back At Cha
One Piece 4Kids Opening. It feels memorable to me.
