Welp guys all y'all know how i feel about this baby. It is my favorite console EVER! The gaming library is the only that can compete with the SNES. This console gave us some kickass and memorable games. The system brings nostalgia to pretty much all the 90s babies!

Great list of games, except Crash Tag Team Racing was terrible, most definitely the worst in the Crash Bandicoot racing series. You should have posted Crash Nitro Kart (2003) on there which was a fun game overall with great track designs & items. Not as good as Crash Team Racing (1999) for the PS1 which was the best Crash racing game in the series, but Nitro Kart for the PS2 was still the 2nd best of all.

The PS2 (along with the PC, PSP, and Xbox) were home to my favorite GTA games of all time. Including San Andreas, but that's already mentioned.

PS2 is probably what turned me into a "core gamer", as they call it. I started buying really niche games that I don't think most people here have even heard of.

Out of the ones in the OP though, I loved Dragon Ball Z Budokai series. That was still some of the must fun I've had in fighting games! I also had WWE Smackdown Vs. Raw 2005. The game had a really fun single-player mode.

Look at how large and diverse the PS2's game library is compared to the PS4's. The PS4's games come from different genres too, but only the dudebro shooters are in the mainstream.

I used to dislike waiting for my brother and earliest friend to finish competing in Budokai, but looking back, the memory is amazing. Budokai's soundtrack is so nostalgic. Haha When I got the PS2, I kept getting this "Your late to the party vibe." Def Jam Fight For NY is G.O.A.T of the series and I doubt its making a comeback. I really don't want to play as these new rappers.

Especially with GTA V being their favorite game since it was released in 2013 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. But those games were more popular with the PS4.

Ouch, that must've hurt.

The system introduced me to the DMC series. I heard awful things about DMC2, which I didn't play, but DMC and DMC3 (and DMC4 for the Xbox 360) were amazing!.

Another game series I loved the Need for Speed games. I loved the chase! I remember taking turns with my brother and my friends to finish a lot of the missions. The game was hard!

Underground 2 was my favorite Need for Speed game of all time, but I had it for the XBOX. Naw bruh, that game was easy! Just like any other racing game was easy for me  ;D

Underground 2 did have its challenges but I unlocked everything on there and had so much fun! I killed everybody on multiplayer mode as usual.

It's weird how I didn't have any of these except when I played one over at my friend's house (I think it was the first Sly Cooper). Those exclusives were off the charts.

I wish Sony would have made more Crash and Spyro games considering there wasn't many on the PS2 for some reason.

Oh my, this brings back memories :\'(

We got our Playstation 2 in 2004. That year I was in bed for 6 months because I had gone through a complete breakdown and became sick. Then around September, my parents bought the Playstation 2 along with some games. It was soo therapeutic for me! Lol. It actually helped with my recovery. The first game we played on it was a Lara Croft game I think it was Angel of Darkness. The after that I played various other games on it.

Lot of people consider the PS2 to be legendary. Especially with its library of games. To this day it holds the largest library of games. According to Sony more than 3,784 games have been released on the PS2. Meaning that no matter what type of gamer you are you'd find the kind of games that you would want to play. Platformer, Racer, Fighting, First Person Shooter, Sandbox, Simulation, Action-Adventure etc. They were all there for you.

I see quite a bit of PS2 nostalgia around the internet. And on the PS4 there is the "PS2 classics" section which a lot of people like.

Yeah, that PS2 classics section is a good idea, I heard you have to pay monthly to stream it, is that true? Also,  I hope Xbox One makes original Xbox games compatible with it, I know the head of Xbox wants to.

The 1st level in the Hulk game was my personal favourite; the level where you are at a petrol/gas station and you can blow up the soldiers. I could never complete the 8th level.

When you think about it, Driver 3 is basically a "rip-off" of GTA : Vice City. Miami is one of the locations in the game and the antagonist in the free mode is called "Timmy Vermicelli".

The first time I played ps2 was October 2001, PS2 systems were very rare to be released, there was a huge shortage when they first came out
and many people didn't get a system until late 2001, I played the Mummy Returns in a Best Buy and did not like the game, Never the less the ps2 wooed me with DVD player ability and Metal Gear Solid 2 which I picked up 3 weeks later.

The first DVD I ever played was the Kings of Comedy (which I did not like lol)
I ended up returning that dvd and renting  Blair Witch 2
