Subject: Favorite movies of 2005?

Written By: doublejm1 on 08/29/17 at 1:08 pm

It seems 2005 was a big year for movies:

Batman Begins
Hitch
The 40-Year Virgin
Sin City
King Kong
War of the Worlds
Brokeback Mountain
Star Wars Episode III
Munich
Walk the Line
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Cinderella Man
Syriana
Capote
Wedding Crashers
Mr. & Mrs. Smith
Fantastic 4
Four Brothers

I'm sure I missed a few. I saw many of these, particularly over the summer that year.

My favorite one was Batman Begins. What a treat to see the start of what turned out to be perhaps the best comic book movie franchise ever. The bitter taste that Batman and Robin left in Batman fans' mouths was no more.

Did I miss any that you'd add to the list? Which was your favorite?

That year I remember I watched War of the Worlds(2005) with my family. It was really scary! I wouldn't say it is my favorite movie though. Just one that I remember.

Revenge of the Sith for its nostalgic value and the (unintentionally) side-splitting dialogue, which has spawned many Internet memes.
