Definitely this one. Sometimes during my free time I'd play around with it, adding things or people so that it looked like a scene of some sort. (I guess that would be "photoshopping" in a sense.)

That "Windows" logo, which appears in both of them, is certainly symbolic of that time frame.

In primary school in the 2005/2006 school year my classroom had a computer where the colorful version would often play and I could not take my eyes off of it as I found it hypnotic  ;D My teacher would even tell me off for getting distracted ;D

I thought that the creepy color-changing walls/floors were an option in Windows98 as well. Didn't matter to me, I always preferred the default brick wall, as well as the brown carpet floor and the silver-grey tiled ceiling. It was easier on my eyes.

Rats! (No pun intended.) I coulda sworn that the colored walls were available prior to XP; I remember going into the display control panel, and seeing that option under the Screensaver tab. Maybe it was Windows2000.

I also remember the maze map being available around that time too.

Would The 3D Maze work for Windows 10? ???

I don't think I had the 3D maze wallpaper. I'm not sure if I would want it because it uses the Win 95-ME UI colour scheme (which I wasn't a big fan of), and the colourful versions would kind of give me a headache, I don't know.

I used the wallpapers from the above when I was stuck with Linux. Although Linux really took off in the 2010s in my opinion, and those wallpapers were used in a 2010s version of Linux, the photos seem to me to evoke a 2000s feel (not to mention the distro and its user interface that those wallpapers were part of, Lubuntu 14.04).

Oh yeah, I remember the "pipes" screensaver too. It would start out by drawing one, and adding more until the screen got so full, they would all disappear and start over again.
