What is your favorite school year of the 2000's?

I voted 02-03 just because that's the year I had several memorable fun times outside of school.

2009-2010, my last year of high school (although I consider it an early 2010s school year :P)

For ones I consider 2000s, it would be 2000-2001.

So my favorite school year of all time  (no surprise) The 2001-2002 school year, Ill go off on a few
bullet points as to why I think its the Ultimate 2000's year.


2001-2002 School Year

Stand out moments

. The first week I came back back felt very adult & advanced, I remember watching the 2001 VMAS and it felt like a new era started.
. Wet Naps banned - my class was using Wet naps as super soakers weapons by twisting them, it was a short fad for awhile.
. Sonic Advance launches on a GameBoy Advance - Was such a weird feeling playing a Sonic game on a Nintendo system?
. GTA 3 hype - This hype was unreal, it was in the news everyday & it was all anyone at school could talk about.
. 9/11 -  we all know what happened, enough said (only downsides of this school year)
.  Xbox/Gamecube launch hype, Who could forget when Luigi's Mansion came out? Or those Xbox HALO kiosks at Eb games?
. DVD Hype - This was the year everyone was obsessed with DVD's The playstation 2 was so damn futuristic then.
. Final VHS year - final year I remember VHS tapes really being a thing.
. First Kiss/Significant other -  The first time I was ever kissed and had a significant other occured this school year I will never ever forget it,
we played spin the bottle and whoever it landed on you had to put your hands in their pants, and I asked the person infront of me if they would be my other after they put their hand in my pants lmao Last for like a month or 2.
. Sex obsession - I remember this was the year EVERYONE was obsessed with talking about sex or drawing sex related drawings on their folders.
. JA RULE was king- Ja rule ruled the airwaves along with Jlo, you would always hear his songs playing.
. Windows Xp/Windows 2000- remember most peoples computers at the time having these OS systems
. DragonFly - This movie stands out as the worst movie I have ever seen, but it was so bad it was good
. Nelly's Hot in Here- Anytime that song would come on in class everyone would stop and dance lmao
.  Lord of the Flies - I remember having to read this book in english class and always wondering off lol
. Harry Potter - Was never a fan but some people in my class were obsessed with it.
. MTV 2 - This year mtv2 was added to my cable, just another station to have on in the morning while flipping for music videos.
.  Sex closet- There was a closet in the school where people would go to have sex lol
. Throwback Jerseys- I remember these getting really popular this school year.
. WEB TV- it was a trend this school year, it seemed very futuristic at the time.
. Anthrax Scare - around this time people were paranoid of getting letters in the mail
. Party lines-  Party lines made a brief come back this school year, it was like the pre Myspace of that era lol It was called the New York Raven or something
. Using a locker for the first time - I took me 4 months to even get my combo right lol Was so confusing
. Britney's Slave 4 u video - I remember seeing this video on mtv in the morning & everything felt so adult so new so fresh.
. Lip balm-  My first time ever buying my trademark strawberry lip balm

My favorite is 2008 - 2009.

lol I guess. I liked Paramore and I started to listen to 90s dance music.

Pre-YouTube: 2004-2005

Post-YouTube: 2006-2007

Note that I haven't really heard of YouTube until 2007, so anything before that was pre-YouTube for me. Although I would favor 2004-2005 more because it used to feel more special when I felt comfortable the most.
