Subject: Who remembers Mya best of me

Man this song is so early 00s. I was just listening to it as a part of my 00s nostalgia music trip and man this song is the reason why I love hip-hop and rnb of that decade. Its so smooth, techno and gives you that warm and fuzzy feel. mOcrHI1fL64

I wouldn't expect you to remember it either. This song was catered towards an black urban audience in the US.

Only ones I remember from her are “Ghetto Superstar”, “Take Me There”, “My Love is Like…Wo” and “Lady Marmalade”. I don’t know where I was when “The Best of Me (part 1)” and “(part 2)” was on the radio. I might have seen a clip from the second part of the song on MTV around the time it first aired, but I don’t remember. There were so many artists to keep up with in the year 2000.

I see, 2000 had an abundance of music. Most people remember pt 2 due it featuring Jay-Z but pt 1 is the preferred version. Part 1 was geared towards the Urban crowd while pt 2 had a more pop appeal.

Yeah once the mid-2000s rolled around the south dominated rap. In NYC it took a long time for them to embraced southern rap now everyone wants to have a trap sound.
