Subject: 2000s babies are really growing up.

Written By: JimiBoy04 on 08/31/21 at 12:07 pm

I was born in 2004, and I will become a legal adult in 6 months (189 days to be exact).

Next year, the last of the 2000s babies (2009) will become teenagers. Also, half of the people born in the 2000s (2000-2004) will be legal adults.

It's really scary. Soon, we will start seeing 2010s babies on this message board. Ugh, the thought makes me wanna crawl up in a corner!  :\'(

I was involved in a huge pricing project as an underwriter before I was retired, to ensure that group employees with a birth date of 2000 would be read as born in the year 2000, not 1900. People born in 2001 not read as born in 1901 and so on, as it would affect premiums and reserves and a bunch of other things.
I can't believe that 2000s born have entered the workforce. (as someone who is retired, I felt the same way about 80s borns, 90s borns as well)
Time marches on.

I remember when I was younger I thought it was a strange thing that people who were teenagers or young adults were telling me they were born in the 70s!  :o

Time waits for no one, I still don’t get 2000s norms fake shock to this though, y'all are young, you’re not the ones who should be feeling like that, only the 40 year old who was in his 20s during that time
