Most of this is accurate except Emo and scene were popular at the same time and Facebook didn't get popular until 2008/2009.

Myspace was still popular during the late 2000s all the kids used Myspace and older people used Facebook for the most part.

It wasn't until mid-2008 when Myspace introduced profile 2.0 when the site started to decline but even that didn't kill the site and Myspace was still heavily active.

It was profile 3.0 introduced in 2010 that killed the site and made the remaining users jump off and go to Facebook because they got rid of profile customization Myspace died in 2010.

Also the iPhone may have launched in 2007 but when it first came out most people didn't have it.

2007/2008 was the tail end of the cell phone boom and we  weren't in the modern smartphone age yet.

Back then most people still had keypad phones like flip phones  blackberry phones and  Nokia phones.

We also weren't quite fully in the digital age yet either as analog  technology was still prevalent back then.

It was even common place back then to have both a cell phone and a house phone at the same time which is something people no longer do and just carry around their smartphones nowadays.

I got my first Facebook in 2007 but i deleted it shortly after making it because i hated Facebook and preferred Myspace.

I started using Facebook again in 2009 when Facebook overtook Myspace and by 2010/2011 all my friends had moved to Facebook completely.

2007/Early 2008 imo was the last era that felt like the true 2000s after that  the later half of 2008 up until 2012 was a transitional period from 2000s culture fading out and 2010s culture coming in.

This is pretty accurate! The late 2000's was more like a bridge from the dark mid 2000's to the bright early 2010's rather than it's own era
