Written By: Starro23 on 07/15/22 at 11:53 am

There are a lot of things people remembered about the 2000s or just forget and try to rewrite history.
Let me clue you in and fix the false narrative.

THE FACTS

- Windows Vista was not a hit, it was panned by everyone
- Teen pop died before 9/11
- Pokemon lost popularity after Silver/Gold
- Wrestling was still popular until 2002
- Ps3 sat on store shelves for years
- There were many dance pop songs on the radio in 2008
- Facebook did not overtake Myspace in 2008
- Myspace was still popular in 2009
- Blockbusters peak 2005
- 2008 was the last year Malls were popping
- 50 cent lost popularity in 2006
- BlackBerrys came out in 2006
- Macs got popular in May 2006

There is absolutely nobody who thinks Windows Vista was a hit or who thinks so now. It was an aberration from the second it came and everybody hated it. There is no revisionist history. Everybody still knows it stunk.

So are the listed facts or the false narrative that's contrary to the facts.

Also everything changed in 2006: is that a fact or false narrative?

Starro, I still own a PS3 and I heard that old Playstations will be going away soon, I'm keeping mine until it doesn't work any longer.

50 cent's career died after his feud with Kanye in 07, but it was fizzling out even before then.

Technically, Blackberry devices were out earlier than 2006.  I was in a secure meeting at work during 2005 and one of the announcements before the meeting was "no Blackberries are allowed in this room".  I was accustomed to hearing that in secure meetings at the time, implying they weren't brand new then.  Blackberries were issued to the managers at work (not to worker bees like me).  I think the Blackberry device you speak of is perhaps their first "regular consumer" model.

I don't know if you recall "personal digital assistants (PDAs)" which were around in the early/mid 2000s before smart phones became big.  I had a "cheap" one.  It had apps on it but was primitive compared to today's smart phones.  But quite a few people had them at the time, especially for business use.  (Even though most also had a few primitive games.)

Yes and John Cena became the face of the company for many years after that until he wanted to become a movie star.

Neither. Everything changed in 2027. EVERYTHING. 2022 feels very primitive and innocent to be honest. I feel like i'm living in the industrial era.

Blockbusters peaked during the 1980s when Bob Holness hosted the television quiz show.

I had Wi-Fi in 2003...
