Wait -- he genuinely likes people... but he cheated on his wife with an intern... but he had noble goals for the country... but he made political compromises... but he refuses to admit his faults... but he gives up his bed for an old man...

daddy bush was known for having the spare lady in waiting, I think he is traveling around with Clinton cause Bill can get the girls ;) . I actually think that bush sees Bill as the son he never had.

I never thought Clinton was a jackass. He is a charming man. I bet he would be fun to have a beer with. His wife is the one I can't stand. I can't put my finger on why, but I have never liked her....even when he first ran for president.
This story just proves that he is a gentleman.

Most everybody who has met George H.W. Bush find him to be a perfect gentleman as well.
These kinds of stories give some interesting insights, but it is important not read too much into them.

Same here, Dagny. Maybe she's such a witch because even Bill won't put a finger on her :D However IF she becomes president you and I could leave the country and live in Alec Baldwins rental in some other place...oh wait, that's right...he stayed! Perhaps Steisands or Rosie's....oh yeah, they stayed too :D Guess we'll have to get one ourselves ::)

Ok, so Bubba is a human being. Meanwhile, Hillary is a b1tch. Why isn't she too a human being, filled with all the contradictions and foibles the rest of we human share? Is it because she is a powerful woman?
But I was always taught to respect my elders, and I guess Bubba learned the same lesson. Politics is one thing, but just good old compassion and humanity are another. Bill showed through this that he has class.

I never said she was a bitch...I don't know her so can't make that assessment. I just said there was something about her that bugged me, even before Bill was president. Powerful women don't bother me at all.

I think Mark is referring to the celebs that said they would leave the country if GW won the election in 2000 then didn't. I remember quite a few of them saying they would move if GW became president. It seems to me that none of them did.

I don't think sleeping on the floor is all that big of a sacrifice for Bill Clinton. After all, he got used to it after the Lewinsky scandal broke and Hillary kicked him out of bed. :D
