Another journalist, Time magazine's Matt Cooper, has named Karl Rove, Bush's chief political adviser, as his source for revealing Ms. Plame's identity.

Looks like things in Washington are beginning to crack.

I heard she just signed a lucrative book deal.  Her source gave her the ok to reveal him months ago, but it seems like she was holding out to look like more of a martyr.   :-[


I'm afraid I'll have to see a source before I believe that. I mean, she's no sacred cow to me, but it just seems kind of ridiculous to be thrown into prison for a book deal. She could have gotten a book deal without prison just by being a key player in the scandal.

Read it. I'm not certain whether it happened or not, because it seems like something Libby might say in order to bring Miler's integrity into question so as to lighten the blow on the White House. I'm not saying that's what happened, just that it boils down to one perso's word against another person's word, and no proof as of yet to shed light on the truth inbetween.

Well this did happen, only the candidate was Ronald Reagan, the country was Iran, and the year was 1980.  Ronald Reagan was a patent traitor to his country even before he got to wreck America with his gang of criminal plutocrats.  And yet....if Paul Krugman called Reagan a traitor today, the right-wing media goons would be calling Krugman himself a traitor and demanding the NYT fire him!
