If The Mets management wants Delgado to shut up about his issues, I only hope they will do the same for a Mets player with a "support our troops" pro-Dubya message, too.


It is nice to know somebody remembers Roberto Clemente.  I know nearly nothing about baseball, but I know the story of Roberto Clemente, a true hero, and a tragic figure.

Too bad he wimped out on his principles, but I don't really understand how sitting down for 'God Bless America' demonstrates dissent against Administration policy anyway.

I do.  What this, or any other administration does, it does in our name, or claims to.  By showing our objections we divorce ourselves from the atrocities carried out in our name and in a small way vindicate outselves.
