Good thing the U.S. government already subsidizes polluters to pollute the air!

Um, not so fast there Beauford. First, the report says other factors have yet to be measured. Second, the study states that pollution induced haze only offsets about 1/3 of the warming caused by burning of fossil fuels and other man-made causes. My math is pretty good, and by my calculation this still leaves 2/3rds of the warming effect still getting through the haze.
Third the researchers work for the governments of Britain and the United States. Now I've seen results of many studies and more often than not the results will favor the entity supplying the funding.
That said , I gotta ask: Being that carbon dioxide is a supposed known cause of global warming why do automobiles still have catalytic converters, which just happen to emit carbon dioxide in large amounts and also emit water?

The study sounds like when of those junk science stunts from the petroleum lobby.  On the other hand, these days, the U.S. government is the petroleum lobby!  The Brits are our strongest ally, no surprise they're along for the ride--so to speak!

Hmmm...carbon dioxide or carbon monoxide.  Pick your poison!  You can get can sweat it out with the greenhouse effect, or you can choke on toxins in the street!

Who's this "Beauford," by the way?

Just a generic term I sometimes use when referring to a collective of idiots, as in those who compiled this study and didn't expect those who read it to actually understand the hidden meaning under the bullflop.

Pure wishful thinking.

Even John McCain strongly believes global warming is happening, more than a lot of Democrats probably.

On a side note though, maybe you're correct in a way: the North Atlantic seems to be cooling.

On the comparison of the Bush regime with the Nazi regime: again, both shall result in holocaust.  The Nazi holocaust was a deliberate and rapid social policy based on savage lies abouit "racial hygiene" and scapegoating of Jews and Slavs.  The Bush holocaust will be a slow-acting by-product of savage economic policies based on corporate greed.  The Third Reich destroyed people as a socialist scheme to benefit ethnic Germans.  The Bush Administration is destroying the ecology--and the destruction of the ecology will destroy people--as a socialist scheme to benefit an elite class of rich people.
If the Nazis had won the war, they would have destroyed their own empire in a generation because the leadership was quite mad.  Our leadership is psychotic as well.  The Bush administration merely has give the finger to the worldwide consensus on the exigencies of global warming and they too will bring about a peril from which even the billionaires cannot escape.

Cheers!

Evil is a product of greed, stupidity, and insanity, and Bush and Hitler have more of those than most.

Bush is a bigger criminal than anyone in jail or Death Row.

I myself do believe in "Global Warming".

However, I believe it to be a fully natural phenomenon.  Man has nothing to do with it, and is unable to do anything about it.  To think that we can influence the temperature of the entire planet is rather silly when you think about it.

Global Warming?  The world has been "warming" for over 10,000 years, since the end of the last Ice Age.  Polar Ice Caps melting?  Heck, for the entire Jurassic Epoch (which lasted some 54 million years) there were no polar ice caps at all!

Heck, 4-5,000 years ago, the Sahara Desert was a lush tropical rainforest.  And less then 2,000 years ago, Death Valley was a huge inland lake.  Yet both have dried up and become the wastelands that they are today.  I no more believe that Humans caused things to warm up then, than I believe they are the cause of things warming up now.

For most of the history of this planet, there have been no polar ice caps at all.  The fact that we have had them for so long is rather unusual, when you look at the history of our planet.

And remember, Venice was once built far inland from the Ocean.  Yet, it has been threatened by the ocean for well over 1,000 years.  Am I seriously supposed to believe that Medieval Humans were also damaging the earth by "Global Warming"?
