Yeah...they hate us Jews but they won't admit it. The only reason they like Israel is that they don't want the Muslims to kill Jesus when he comes back there, and that they hate the "towelheads" more than the "hebes."

Well, if I'm gonna be lumped in with so-called "fundies" (I'm not of their ilk, regardless of what you've heard!), I'd like to state here and now that I have *no* problems with those of Hebrew persuasion. Some of my best friends are Jewish.  :) Did I mention I have some German in me? Look out!  :D

Getting back on topic...I remember taking a look at some old socialist literature from the 50s. It was funny how it made use of the Founding Fathers' writings that supposedly supported socialist causes. There were tons of ellipses, indicating a selective use of words. I suppose if I could remove "do not" and "prohibited" from the world's holy books, I could use those to back upp my agruments, too.  ::)

There is one Chick Publications tract that bashes Freemasonry......http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/5022/5022_01.asp..I have a problem with the Chick tracts because among other things they do a lot of gay bashing and they bash anyone who is not a Fuddymentalist(the spelling is deliberate)!

Jack Chick tracts are hilarious... aren't you supposed to, like, leave them in truck stops and bathrooms and hotel lobby tables and crap like that? I found one in a bathroom in a truck stop in Georgia once. About pissed myself laughing.

On the matter of whether chick tracts have ever converted anybody, I bet they do a number on people who worry about going to hell. they're so coercive! Be a Christian or we'll burn you man.

When I was a kid these little Christian pamphlets were all over. They weren't chick tracts, something else. They always had jesus coming back and then all the dead people would rise out of their graves to go to heaven, all these bland-looking white people in their Sunday suits. Pretty hilarious.

Personally, I think they need to use the "Velvet Rope" approach.. end each of them with "..and it doesn't matter, cause you're going to Hell, because you're not GOOD ENOUGH to be a Christian.. FAGGOT!"

It's funny they talk about how all sins will be forgiven but it turns out, at least in certain denominations, if you ever take communion without going to confession first you can ask for forgiveness all you want but you're pretty much damned to hell no matter what. And I've actually done that. (a chance to drink wine when you're under 21? Dude, spread out!) so, not much point in becoming a Christian really. shame such a thing would happen to me too. I'm so cute.
