Subject: Maggie?

I have to wonder what exactly Blair hopes to achieve with this, apart from making David Cameron the Prime Minister. (Not that I would be opposed to that)
I've heard a lot about him stepping down in the summer of '07. Personally it would make far more sense for him to step down A.S.A.P so his own party can rally behind Gordon Brown.

I am not a fan of the Labour party, however, I am a fan of Gordon Brown. He's been excellent in his role as Chancellor of the Exchequer, seems as honest and straight-forward as any politician could hope to be and appears to be more popular than Blair amongst the general public (although I hardly doubt that a particularly difficult status to achieve).

One must assume that Blair has in fact succumbed to the Maggie disease, that being that he's been poisoned by the power.

Does anybody else have an opinion on the current leadership crisis in the Labour party?
