So, what are the odds on a pardon by the outgoing Administration?  For that matter, what are the odds on a pardon on the incoming Administration?  (And does anyone really think those odds should change whether the Elephants or the Donkeys win in 2008? :)

Personally, I don't think he sang loud enough, yet.

Not too sure what you mean. Are you saying that they should put a web cam in his cell? Yeah, that should be pretty-seeing JACK AbramOFF 24/7.  ::)

Lucky for Mr. Jack, he's going to one of those "minimum security" prisons.  Hey, if you rob people with a gun, you go to the big house, if you rob people with a fountain pen (as Woody Guthrie put it), you go to to the cushy detention center for "white collar" criminals.  Direct violence versus indirect violence.  And, uh, knowing about Republican bigshots what they don't want us to know about them, Mr. Jack will drop the soap on purpose!

He'll get pardoned.  By '08, Dubya's going to be about as popular as beans on a bus trip, so one more act of scumbaggery won't make a difference.  Before anybody mentions Mark Rich, yeah, Clinton pardoned plenty of scumbags, and I thought that was just as despicable.
::)

The article mentions he will "continue to cooperate with the Justice Department" while he's in prison.  Just watch out his buddies don't bring the henhouse to the fox, so to speak!

Wouldn't that be interesting if by '08, Dubya (and "Mr. dick") had a cell right next to "Mr. Jack"?

Unfortunately, they're not even going to impeach those war criminals.  I keep hearing these newly elected Dems explain, "Well, we have a lot to get done in the next two years.  If we have to spend all that time on impeachment, then we won't be able to pass ahcieve the legislative reforms you elected us to do."

It doesn't have to be either/or, Mr. Politician!  If you bigshots were willing to put in the kind of 60+ hour weeks Joe Shmo has to work just to squeak by nowadays, you could do both!

Maybe if we had a sane campaigning strategy (such as two-month campaign seasons and voter-owned elections), you people wouldn't have to spend half your legislative careers running around with a tin cup, kissing babies and all kinds of other things!

You are aware that in some Countries they use webcam or film footage as a lesson to society.  I hear it works quite well.
