Subject: Down with The Donald Redux

If you had asked me yesterday what I thought of Rosie O'Donnell, I'd give you a dozen vomit emoticons.  Rosie's persona is obnoxious....but not half as obnoxious as The Donald.

Today she made a good point:
Who the hell is Donald Trump to judge anybody's morals?  "Moral compass" was the term she used.
Her juvenile lampoon of Trump even caught the essence of the man!

This of course is all about Miss U.S.A.  If you were lucky enough to be in a coma this week and missed the story, switch on your TV, it's still there.
::)

Trump replied in essance about Rosie,
"What kind of moral compass is she?  Look at that fat ugly face!"
That reveals why I despised the man in the first place.  According to The Donald, it is immoral for a woman NOT to look like a runway model.

The Donald also revealed himself to be what I suspected all along:  An insecure fourteen-year-old.  Rosie starts in with the puerile ridicule, and The Donald can't take it.  He's threatening to sue her.  He's got no grounds and no chance.  He's a public figure, she's a public figure, and there was no damage.  If Trump was really as big a man as he makes himslef out to be, you know what he'd say?  Nothing.  If the press asked him for comment on Rosie, he'd shrug and say, "She's entitled to her opinion," and move on.

Oh, and of course The Donald had to denigrate people who have to work for a buck and can't sit in plummy penthouses in silksuits and light cigars with $100 bills.  The Donald said of Rosie, "She talks like a truck driver!"  Got a problem with truck drivers, Donnie?  Did you eat dinner tonight, Mr. Trump?  Thank a truck driver.

Wouldn't surprise me was a publicity stunt both Rosie and The Donald are in on.  I doubt it though.  I think what you are seeing of The Donald is truly who he is and what he has to offer.  I have not seen anything of The Donald in the past 20 years to suggest otherwise.
He's such an azzh()le, he made Bill O'Reilly look like a reasonable guy tonight!

I'm not talking about The Donald's money, how much he inherited from daddy, and the scummy ways he increased the family fortune.  I'm talking about the empty suit, the vacancy under the combover, the whole-lotta-nothing signnified by his machismo sneer.  Isn't it time for America to tell The Donald,
"You're fired!"
:P

See?  Rosie's not bereft of talent!  She's no genius, but she's got something going for her.

If Trump didn't have daddy's money from the get-go, today he'd be just another overbearing azzh()le who cuts off other drivers in traffic and hits on the girls at the office!

Is there an available video clip of what prompted DT's comments? I'd like to see that before I pass judgement.

I dunno, maybe the DT's!
http://www.inthe00s.com/smile/12/drunken_smilie.gif

The Donald makes a big show of everything.  So he made a big show of announcing he's giving trampy Miss U.S.A. "a second chance."  "I'm a big believer in second chances!"  The Donald boasted.  I mean, everything the guy says is a boast.  He could say, "Medium coffee, cream and sugar please," and it would sound like a boast.

Anyway, Rosie O'Donnell made fun of The Donald on "The View," a really llllllame daytime chat show for women (who should all consider their demographic dissed), and The Donald got his liddle-widdle feeling hurt, so he's gonna sue!

I found the video. For the first time in a very long time, I found Rosie to be funny.

This is a complete video:

Trump has some good points too.

That said, I wouldn't shed a crocodile tear if either one (or both) of them were to suffer an untimely demise.

Why do people call him "The Donald"? I may be taking this too seriously, but if a friend and I were walking down the street, and we saw Donald Trump, and he said "Hey! There's The Donald!", I probably would bitch-slap him for being an idiot. (no offense intended to you, Maxwell)

"The Donald" is meant to be his slick, Mr. Cool nickname.  It just sounds sofa king retarded I can't help using it myself!
Trump thinks he's the most accomplished member of his generation.  He reminds me of another Boomer with delusions of grandeur: Dan Quayle.  The Republicans picked Quayle as George H.W.'s running mate because they thought Quayle had "Jack Kennedy" appeal.  Quayle believed it.  He compared himself to "Jack Kennedy" during the debate with Sen. Lloyd Bentsen.  Even before Bentsen made his famous rebuttal, I shook my head.  I was watching it live, and as soon as Quayle started saying, "I have as much experience as Jack Kennedy....," I thought "Ooooh, no Dan, don't say that!"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRCWbFFRpnY

If Quayle had been like the Donald and just used Daddy's money to amass an even bigger fortune and push people around in business, he'd just be another RNC-type schnook.  Well, that's what he is actually, but he got out of his depth.

The Donald is out of his depth.  He's not an adult.  If the Donald ran for VP, he'd get slammed in the debates just like Quayle, and conduct himself no better than he did this week against silly old Rosie.

I actually like Rosie a lot and always have.  I think she gets a bad rap.  She completely won that one though - his feeble attempt and rebutting her fell flat.  Calling someone fat and ugly is not the way to win a war of words.  What an idiot.

But that is Rosie's thang too.  You see, she feel free to say mean things about all sorts of people, but the first time anybody says ANYTHING negative about her, she recoils and accuses them of "hating a successful lesbian".  Too many people bave bought into that cr@p.  Donald on the other hand has erssentially said "the heck with that, I'll say exactly what I think about that wench".

I especially liked his remark that he was gonna send one of his lesbian friends over to try and steal Rosie's girlfriend away from her.  Heh heh...  ;D

Juvenile for Trump to do that tirade?  Absolutely, no doubt about it.  But nevertheless I am very pleased to see someone come out in public who is not cowed by Rosie's BS and to call her as she is.  Mean, MEAN, MEANMEAN.

Donald, this Bud's for you.  8)

He responded in a juvenile manner - very similar to that of an adolescent boy. "I won't respond to the fact that I did indeed cheat/lie/steal, so what, you're fat". He's an asshat and always will be.

"There are two kinds of people in the the world, those who take it, and those who don't."
--The Donald

Boy, Socrates has nothing on this guy!  What strikes me about The Donald is how stupid he is.  Stupid and shallow.

I always thought Rosie was mean-spirited.  Her ugliness comes from the inside, like all true ugliness.  Rosie's media ventures fail because she is a horrifically unappealing person.

The Donald would fail for the same reason.  The difference is The Donald can sink so much money into his aspirations he can keep them afloat.  The Donald makes friends the old-fashioned way, he buys them!  There was a stupendous media push behind "The Apprentice" because it helps corporate America show who's boss.  "You're fired" ranking at #3 in the TV Land's Top 100 TV lines of all time was not merited.  "You're fired" is  not something you hear kids at the mall say.  TV Land said it was.  The Donald's tagline is a push from the corporate boardroom, not something the masses grabbed because it was catchy, like "Hey hey hey!," or "Dyn-O-mite!"  It was terribly important to make a rich white guy barking: "You're fired!" a pop culture icon.  So the corporate top brass did.  They've been trying their damnedest to make the corporate Aryan revolution last, even though it's running out of steam!

The media thrive on negativity.  "The View" is essentially negative, but not exclusively.  The Donald is exclusively negative.

Rosie has a point-what makes him the moral compass? Yeah, she was a bit juvenile with the mock combover but just about everything she said was accurate. However, Donald's response was nothing but personal attacks. And yes, I agree with Max that he made Bill O'Reilly look like the voice of reason. Bill was telling him to take the high road and everything out of his mouth was nothing but personal attacks. And then he said that he was fighting her "intellegently". WHAT!!?? How is making personal attacks fighting her intellegently? Another thing I found very interesting was that Donald refused to appear on CNN but would on Fox News. So, what does that tell ya?

he was on Larry King last night... which is CNN I think.  Not sure.  My wife turned it on, and I had to hear the retarded rambling of both of these idiots (both recorded and live).  I'm dumber for having heard either of them speak.  Really, I lost IQ points just from a five minute exposure to this nonsense while trying to read a book in bed.

Why any "news" outlet of any source should dedicate more than 30 seconds to this issue is beyond me.  Just re-enforces my opinion of televised news.

I never watch Larry King (and yes, that is CNN). It was the Situation Room with Wolf Blizter that he declined to appear.

I agree with you that the media is making so much about this. And to my shock, Bill O'Reilly also talked about the issue of the news programs coving this as much as they have been. My opinion is because when you have 24 hour news they have to have SOMETHING to talk about.

yesh, when O'Reilly sounds like the voice of reason, you know things are WAY out of whack

Jon Stewart's take on it was the best.  In the voice of Trump he said something to the effect of "I'm going to milk the publicity I'm getting from this second rate pagent I bought to help me bang dumb chicks".

The reason I posted a thread is because Trump is a media 'ho.  Long ago I posted a thread "Down with The Donald" (hence "Redux") and got roundly scorned for dumping on The Donald, who seemed heroic to a lot of folks.  Several posters even regurgitated The Donald's Kool-Aid about how Trump is a self-made man and a business genius.  Neither one is true.  Sleazy real estate brokering doesn't constitute business genius, just borderline white collar crime.  To my knowledge, Trump never declared bankruptcy.  The Taj Mahal casino went bankrupt, but The Donald did not personally declare bankruptcy.  Lots of his projects were money losers, but he always stayed personally rich.  Business genius?  I think not.  If you've got a billion dollars, you can hire great lawyers and accountants to keep your personal assets in the black.  Everybody learned a thing or two from the Hunt Brothers!

RECAP:

The first thing Trump did was ridicule Rosie's cosmetic features and body habitus.
The second thing The Donald did was boast of how he will sue her for as much money as he can get.
Well, if he's got "many billions" and no damages from O'Donnell's comments, why sue?
Greed and spite.

'Tis the season.  Merry Christmas to Trump, a man of good will, sweet character, and magnanimity!
:P

Isn't it funny how Republicans want to make it impossible for the little guy to sue corporate America for punitive damages via so-called "tort reform," yet as soon as they get there feelings hurt, the first thing Republicans do is call their lawyers!  Sure, your mother dies of bad medicine, your child gets killed by faulty equipment, YOU don't deserve any more than $250 grand for your loved one's life.  Oh, but Trump should be entitled to eight figures from Rosie because she made fun of his hair-do.

So now you see the nature of The Donald.
And some of you wondered 24 months ago why I didn't like the "You're fired!" guy!
::)

BTW, Trump and O'Donnell are both public figures.  The standard for libel in America is extremely tough in this kind of case.  Trump told O'Reilly he knows a lot about libel law.  If he does, he's bluffing.  This is not a lawsuit Trump can win...unless he himself commits perjury!

If Trump pursues the case aggressively, I'd advise Rosie to lay low.  Trump wants a media circus.  O'Donnell shouldn't give him one.  She could countersue for something along the lines of harrassment and intimidation.

If Rosie won a suit against The Donald,  she'd be anything but graceful about it.  I wouldn't look forward to her gloating and taunting on "The View."

He got that nickname from wife number one Ivana, before his moral compass went askew.  Wait!, what am I saying? The needle on that think was broken a long, long time ago. I'm not crazy about Rosie(ever notice that she has what I call "dead" eyes, soul less(laura bush has the same), but I was glad when she gave it to the donald.  He has been having those obnoxious seminars on how to make money.  It makes me gag to think he is a$$ enough to take the money of people who actually believe they can go from the cubicle to Mar e Lago  as easy as pie, just like him  ??? , ...and the fools who give a man like him their money....Jeez... ::)

Rosie always turned me off, yet I've always been a fan of Roseanne Barr.  There are parallels between the two, including the fact that Rosie's name is also Roseanne.  However, I think Roseanne is far more talented than Rosie...and she doesn't have those "dead eyes."  Yes, Laura Bush has them, so does/did Ann Coulter, Sott Peterson, Colin Ferguson, and Jeffrey Dahmer.  Trump doesn't have "dead eyes," he has "Mr. Self-Important" eyes.

I absolutely love Roseanne Barr in all her incarnations,  even the baseball game debacle(am I the only one who understood what she was doing there?).  I wasn't talking of Roseanne Barr when I spoke of "dead eyes" all my comments were aimed at O'Donnell to whom I have more of a "sometime like but usually don't care enough to expend much energy to care either way" attitude.
