Subject: Townhall blogger a moron

(More breaking news: The sky is blue)

Ms. Ham is a 27-year-old blogger who appears regularly on FOX News.  She had this to say:

"Well, I think Clinton has a duality. You know, he’s the charming guy, he’s the nice guy, but he’s also a guy who’s prone to eruptions and some falsehoods.

You know, he’s like The Incredible Hulk, except he turns sort of purple and blotchy instead of green. But, you know, I think he’s sort of a victim of the - or not a victim, but he’s getting used to the 24-hour news cycle. When he was president, he was not subjected to quite as much scrutiny, and I think he got a lot of passes, and now he’s mad he’s not getting them anymore."

What does it take to be a right-wing pundit nowadays?

A room-temperature IQ and a resume from the Heritage Foundation.  Oh, and if you're female, it helps to look like a homecoming queen!

OK, Ms. Ham, maybe you were too busy picking out a prom dress to watch the news.  I dunno.  When I was a journalism major they nagged us constantly to back up all your statements with two reliable sources...but if you're gonna write for townhall.com and hang around FOX News, I guess you're off the hook!

So it's another Fox chick.  Why are they so obsessed with Clinton?  (Where the heck is Freud when you need him?)  Has anything of value come from the Heritage Foundation?

The title of this thread is very redundant.

"I uncrease the bill, tenderly as you may imagine, it just having come from between the two smoothest scoops of vanilla I had ever known were there, and pass a half and a penny into her narrow pink palm, and nestle the herrings in a bag and twist its neck and hand it over..."

Married With Children was on Fox before he bought it.  Murdoch likes his stuff "family friendly".

Neh, when Murdoch took over Fox and it's ratings went down hill.  Powell (the son of Collin who was chairman of the FCC) came in right about that time.  Talk about censorship.

Well, there's FOX and there's FOX News (no news, just commentary).  Roger Ailes sees to it the most salacious and scandalous stories get the most air time. The presenters always justify these stories as concern for public safety and moral hygiene.  For instance, "14-year-old girls uploading nude photos of themselves to the Internet" gets first billing on O'Reilly.  This keeps riveted the dirty old men who make up the majority of FOX's viewers.  However, it is sold as a "family values" story.  "Are your kids safe?"  "How parents should police their children's online activities."  "Is the Internet positive or negative in the home?"  They'll have a panel of two experts, one right-wing and the other ultra right-wing.

Never mind that the greatest danger to the most American children is poverty.  That's complicated and depressing, and may implicate the status quo.  No, no.  Find a story involving kids from posh neighborhoods being naughty.  Key words: "teen, sex, crime."  You can't lose.

Fox is not as good as it used to be. (since the late 90's).  Remember Inside Edition?  O'Reilly is still doing the same stuff only it's mixed with Conservative rants.  Which is a really demented mix.

A "demanted mix" is as good a description as any I've heard of O'Reilly!
