Yup-and I don't think getting a new campaign manager in this stage of the game is going to help.

She's still up on the polls in TX and OH but I think if Obama can get ~40% of so of the vote in those states, he has a great shot at sealing it before they have to whine about superdelegates.

Ol' Hillary is getting desperate, methinks....

I wouldn't take too much stock in the polls. How many times have they said that someone was ahead only to have the voting go the other way?

Assuming Obama doesn't go tits up in Wisconsin and Hawaii he'll be in a great position. He should be able to win in Rhode Island and Vermont as well which will give him a little cushion.
Hillary will probably win in Ohio and Texas, but my rough calculations she'll have to take 60+% of the vote in both states to really stand a chance.
Obama will almost certainly win in Wyoming and Mississippi which should go some way to making up the ground that Clinton will probably have after Texas and Ohio.

I would imagine that after Pennsylvnia Clinton might be 30-50 delegates ahead but then comes Guam, North Carolina, West Virginia, Kentucky and Oregon which he is almost certain to win. Indiana might be close. South Dakota and Montana should also go to Obama.

Essentially, as far as I can tell, from a mathematical perspective, Clinton NEEDS to win at the very least 60% of the vote in Texas and Ohio and then more than likely pull a couple of upsets out. I realize right now the delegate counts are close but Obama is almost assured victory in the majority of the remaining primaries... and the super-delegates will not go against the popular vote.

Yeah if Obama does decent here in Ohio and in Texas, I think he wins most of the other states and should probably be able to pull off the nomination. IMO the only reason anybody is voting for Hillary is because they miss Bill, and think that Hillary is going to bring that era back...because she carries the Clinton name.  ::) I think we need new blood in Washington after the mess the current idiot in chief has created, not another Clinton. I got my vote by mail ballot today and will vote early for Obama without hesitation.

I think people WERE voting for Hilary because of what you said AND also because they think that she could win in the general election. Now, it seems that people believe that Obama can indeed win the general election-so, his campaign is gaining momentum as hers is dwindling.

I think she should use her remaining status and cash to open a chain of breakfast restaurants called "Hilary's House of Waffles". I bet they would have some of the best waffles ever.

I believe he can too, he definitely has the momentum...I think more and more people are learning about him and seeing that if you want real change he is the way to go.

Advice for Obama: Don't accept any cookie-grams from Hillary!
:o

That's what makes me nervous.  She thinks she's entitled to the '08 nomination and isn't going to just let some...some...some...meddling kid take it away from her!  She might be doing the swiftboating!

I dunno, even a "crappy plan for America" sounds pretty O.K. at this point!

they indicated that Obama was trailing Hilary quite a bit in Maine, and she lost mightily there.

Hillary has lost her grip on the female vote, which is pretty bad news for her. I know I've heard plenty of women mention they'd vote for her, only because "it's time for a woman to be in the White House".  While I agree with the sentiment, I don't really agree with the choice.

As for the popular vote showing an Obama victory, and the super delegates following along with that.  Don't count on it entirely.  The super delegates helped make the choice in 1984 and I think we all remember how well that turned out.

Then how about Jenna Bush?  She's not 35 yet, but she could get another fake I.D.

I don't think her future husband would allow it.  He's one of those narrow-minded conservatives.

I could go for seeing Amy Carter run. Honestly, I think she'd be better than Hillary. :)

That would be one heck of a ticket.  I'd vote for them.

and a few Latino organizations have begun backing him, which is real bad for Hillary since she is counting on the large segment of the Latino population in Texas to help her pull in a win.

Criticized for throwing OBama 'socialist' label around in place of liberalism...Did anyone else hear the 'SOCIALIST' speech Obama gave in Texas-Right out of the BOOK OF KARL MARX!

Let's give them teachers more money...and uh...what about the education level of the kids they teach?

not my kind of guy...McCain tamed down too after he was challenged, so again to think who is right for the job...Obama still talks about taking care of business but 'has not said what'-that's been consistent with Democrats running and chatting away...

So far, maybe McCain, but with my eyes closed...

I actually agree with the Bill Clinton situation. But despite being a peaceful President and all that, he was very immoral. (And no, I'm not defending Bush either since he's not moral either.)
