Actually, I wanted to know if the show was real. We don't have cable, and our big three networks only come in when they want to, so I have no clue if this is a real show or not. ;D I googled it and couldn't find a thing about it, except links back to the video in question.
It sort of looks like "MTV Cribs" but for politicians, and we've all seen (or heard) how ridiculous that show can be at times. ::)

Someone on another message board brought up the fact that she might be "nouveau riche" (their words, not mine :D), which would account for the tackiness of some elements in that house (cowhide toilet seat cover?!) and would explain the nonchalant attitude about cutting up dollar bills to use for wrapping paper.

The woman is definitely acting. It also looks like it was shot with a camcorder. Not a lot of technical amenities like back lighting so it feels more like a student film or experimental short (like a parody short). Nothing about it feels like a real program.... it doesn't even feel like a really bad reality show so I'm going with fake.
