Subject: Obama-McCain II: The Wrath of Khan

Written By: Rice_Cube on 10/07/08 at 9:37 pm

While I thought both candidates held their own, I still think that they left a lot purposefully ambiguous.  Kinda reminds me of that episode of Family Guy where Lois runs against Adam West and keeps saying "9/11" :D

I will most likely still vote for Obama but I seriously hope he solidifies his platform quickly and decisively.  McCain kinda reminds me of Grandpa Simpson despite the fact that he did give adequate answers to those questions :P

If I'd been the guy asking the very first question of the debate (loosely, "what would you do to solve the credit crisis"), hearing McCain start with "energy independence", I'd have gotten up and walked out of the room, and wouldn't care if they'd disappear me for being impolite.  That was one of the dumbest moments of the campaign so far, and this campaign's been more full of dumb moments than (insert something too rude to print about Barney Frank).

But then, he is...

...and he's up against

http://i36.tinypic.com/2yxkunc.jpg

So,

http://crap.denisvengeance.com/friends.jpg

LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!

http://img379.imageshack.us/img379/8711/debatewa2.jpg

which was good, because Tom Brokaw sure as hell wasn't.  Look, Tom, you're the moderator.  You don't let both candidates ramble on for five minutes and then call time on 'em.  It's your freaking job to call time on 'em and cut them off if need be.

http://img397.imageshack.us/img397/2653/equalswatchessv6.jpg

...no matter how much time they're trying to pull out of their ass.  We were promised...

http://i380.photobucket.com/albums/oo244/fheathen/250px-Sam_and_Ralph_choke.png

and we got

http://i380.photobucket.com/albums/oo244/fheathen/Sam_and_Ralph_clock-1.png

My friends,

http://img392.imageshack.us/img392/7499/motivator4269452zh6.jpg

...since neither candidate was interested in answering the questions posed to them, let's just skip the boring parts.  (Besides, did you really want to see pictures of eBay's Meg Whitman being cited as a candidate for SecTreas?)  There's only one question either candidate answered, and it was this:

McCain: Have my friends not heard?

Obama: Do the voters not know?  (Y'know...)

http://img392.imageshack.us/img392/8163/birdwordiv2.jpg

Brokaw:  (chugs the rest of his glass of vodka, gets up, and walks away from the moderator's table.)

^ ;D

I maintain that it would all be more interesting with a steel cage death match.  McCain might have the edge over Obama because of his Vietnam War/POW experience, but Obama is younger.

Possibilities....

"That One"

I thought McCain was supposed to have tons of experience in the Senate.  He doesn't know how to refer to a member of the Senate during a debate?

Well, at least he hasn't learned from Dick Cheney and told Obama to go f*** himself.

Yeah that was totally uncalled for by John McCain, I was shocked when I heard it. I thought McCain seemed angry and bitter during the whole debate.

Huffington Post has a roundup of various polls, Fox, CBS, etc.

basically the undecided voters at this point aren't favoring the angry shtick McCain's well known for.  They want answers, and he's just throwing up more rhetoric.

I must have totally missed "That One"...or maybe it was just blown out of proportion and I ignored it.

GObama!

it's not nearly as embarrassingly bad as him saying "my fellow prisoners" instead of "my fellow Americans" at a rally today.

Did they change the intention or what?

Obama going after smal businesses making over $250,000?!

Unless someone corrected him saying if an INDIVIDUAL with a small business makes that much..but if he's talking about small b's earning 250...He is off my radar!
You need that much to keep a small group employed and make a profit!

I'm located in the SO. CAL area and on whatever radio talk shows are available, the calls are coming in..Obama made mention of big taxes on small businesses making $250K or more and that's about what you need to be in a successful small business here..I know a guy making $200K a year married/2 kids in decent schools and he is just about even money for all the expenses as it is.

This point couldn't have been missed by everyone follow Obamas proposals?

Hey, what's all the youth doing out-at the supermarkets- promoting Lyndon LaRousche?

Yep, confirmed..seen the tv ad myself..It states if you don't make more than $250,000 you won't have to worry about Obama raising your taxes ...WELL BULL FOR HIM..
I(Mr. Small Business and for others in the same position), say NOT IN MY COUNTRY...at least I won't throw a vote to him..

I believe that if your small business income is from $250,000 to $600,000, your taxes will remain the same.

OMG! It's been confirmed, you saw an ad on TV for yourself!!!    ;D

No doubt an ad endorsed by McCain.

Anyone else watching?
THIS one was an OBAMA ad which worked the opposite for me as it stated how anyone who earns less than $250K should not worry about their taxes gong up..THAT'S what I am talking about..When I hear things, I confirm them from who I hear them.. or  mention who said it when it was a radio quote..or as my moniker states..if I am not sure ..I throw it out to question it on messageoard.

Others on these boards  seem to have an agenda they are promoting but it shows...

Thanks for any answers when I bring the questions up..

E day is near..I leave it up to the politicians to battle it out...

No more E talk for me everyones minds seem to be made up.
