Round 3: FIGHT!

http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii81/thegreenroomshow/debate08.jpg

After some cursory claptrap about the economy, we got down to what really mattered:  an opening dedication to that poor bastard,

...and the pressing issues of our time:

and

For his own part, Obama reminded us that despite McCain's protestations about the culture of Washington, that McCain had

well, he'd just let that picture speak for itself.  In response, McCain reminded us that no matter how far

his campaign had gone,

he wasn't gonna stand back and let Obama bad-mouth his campaign for the United States of America.

There was debate about budget cuts -- do we use the

which I misread as

which I was all for, and then they exchanged a few one-liners which led to smiles (yeah, I'm cheating by using a screencap from an earlier debate, and you can't stop me!) like

More importantly, there was a question about whose running mate was more qualiified:

And that's all, folks.

If, by election day, we're trading at anything better than a Mad Max barter economy in which sex, ammunition, and alcohol are the only hard currencies, consider yourselves very lucky.  Two men enter.  One man leaves.

McCain came off as a frustrated, cranky old man sputtering through the usual book of Friedmanesque mantras, but now they've lost their magic touch.  People ain't buying it no more.  FOX News and the other clowns are trying to patch-up a pro-McCain spin on the debate, but I don't think they even believe what they're saying.

In an argument, when the first guy is smiling, courteous, well-spoken, and substantive and other second guy is screaming epithets, pounding the table, and getting flushed in the face, the first guy's gonna win!

Winning an argument, however, does not guarantee winning an election.

Thanks for that FooBar :)

As someone who works in construction knowing that we will see more of this Joe the plumber guy, I would like to ask him a question.

1. How did you gather the capital to be able to purchase a small business that will reap profits of 250,000 a year?  If it is reaping those profits the cost of purchase must be in the millions.

2.How are you able, in this climate, secure financing for this venture?

3.Are you really as average as you, the media, and McCain want us to believe?  I know a lot of average workmen and this isn't average.

McCain personally invited Joe Plumber to the debate.  He stayed the whole time.  How much did the McCain campaign pay him to sit through that?

BTW folks, McCain's campaign ads are 100% negative.  Foo Bar you know where to send your stuff. :)

This has apparently been making the blog rounds.  I thought at first it was photoshopped or something, but nope.  'Tis real.  I'm not sure what McCain was trying to do or whatever, but it is effin' hilarious.

Remember, McCain has no ideology litmus test for judicial nominees.  It's all about qualifications.

What about a nominee who supports Roe v. Wade?

That goes to qualification, not ideology.

Whaaaa?
???

If I were a betting man, I'd say that was photoshopped 'cause of the few pixels worth of smoothing - look at the way the writing on the wall blurs behind McCain's head, but is clear all the way behind Obama's (though at that resolution, I couldn't say for sure).  Well executed, yes, but 99% likely to be a Photoshop.

Joe doesn't even make over $250,000.

"In an interview afterward with WTOL, Wurzelbacher acknowledged that he'd still like to eventually buy the plumbing company he works for but that he wouldn't yet be hit by higher taxes.

"I want to set the record straight: Currently I would not fall into Barack Obama's $250,000-plus," he said. "But if I'm lucky in business and taxes don't go up then maybe I can grow the business and be in that tax bracket - well, let me rephrase it. Hopefully, that tax won't be there.""

More on Joe.....It has been reported that he doesn't have a plumbers license, which is necessary to be a plumber.  He also said he wouldn't say how he was voting, then he went and endorsed McCain. I am beginning to smell a republican rat.

"To make matters worse, the Blade also found that the Ohio Department of Taxation placed a lien against Joe because $1,183 in personal property taxes had not been paid. To pile on, the paper disclosed, based on divorce records, Joe's 2006 income — $40,000, hardly enough to qualify for the tax hike he's so concerned about."

Apparently he's a registered Republican too, no surprise.  ::)

Not to mention Joe's name is misspelled on the voting rolls, under what the Ohio Republican Party is trying to force the Secretary of State to do right now, people like Joe with inaccuracies in their voting information like this would have their vote taken away. ACORN is nothing, the real fraud is Republican vote theft and suppression. The Republican Party is hard at work all over the country right now targeting lower income and minority areas, trying to take away as many people's right to vote as they can.

Whether or not Joe is a distant relative of Charles Keating is insignificant IMO.  From the outset I suspected this "average Joe" was bogus like the rest of the BS they throw at the media.

"A horrified America watched John McCain stagger up from his debate chair last night and turn into a monster. He almost caught our Barack Obama! What was happening?
