Subject: Is prison like a series of tubes too? Ted Stevens - GUILTY

Well, we knew he was guilty... I mean found guilty and convicted.  Even after evidence was deemed inadmissible.

I'm sure the Senate will vote out someone who is convicted of receiving hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of "gifts" right?  nah...

He's a crook on an astronomical level and he doesn't even know how to rig a jury?  Throw him to the wolves, I say; for his willful ignorance, throw him to the wolves!

I'm sure GW will be more than happy to pardon him on his way out the door.  All the criticism I heard of Clinton pardoning people, and yet somehow I think those same individuals will be quiet when GW slinks his way out the door.

Even so, they're not going to throw Uncle Ted in the house of corrections.  The guy's 84 years old for chrissakes!  He'll prolly get 90 days probation and a $5000 fine!

IMO-The only politician that I would like to see with the Guilty verdict is Dick Cheney.

If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't really be in this mess....And if he pardons him...maybe Bush. (Because that would be the worst move ever, They don't call him DICK Cheney for nothing!)

The Progressive party candidate for Att. General in Vermont promises to charge Bush with murder for the deaths of Vermont soldiers in Iraq.  I may vote for her.

I'm sorry to say this but...that won't happen either. You go to war, and there's a chance you will die. No one wants war, and what I heard is that Vermont also decided not to have industrial plants in the state and taxes are high up there.

Do they have casinos in Vermont by any chance?

No casinos, and we do have industries here.  But like Cleveland, many are relocating to China.  Our taxes are high, but not as high as Taxichussets

guess again

http://www.boston.com/news/globe/city_region/breaking_news/2007/04/report_taxachus.html

only New Hampshire has lower taxes than Mass. in New England.

Massachusetts' flat 5.3 percent income tax is in contrast to Vermont, which has the highest tax burden in the nation this year at 14.1 percent. In addition to other high property taxes and a 6 percent sales tax, Vermont has a graduated income tax that tops out at 9.5% for single or joint filers who make more than $336,550.

it's harder to put the word tax into Vermont's name I guess.

Vote Yes on Question 1!  We're gonna get rid of the state income tax this time!  Boy, that'll solve all our problems!

I've seen reports like this, but others put our taxes much lower.  It all depends on the methodology used.  Taxes are certainly to high though, regardless.  Especially MY taxes, although not necessarily Your  taxes.  ;)  ;)  :D  :D

Join me at the club on Wednesday, old boy, my accountant just showed me how to write off your butler and your chauffuer as dependents and redesignate hedge fund transfers as charitable donations.

It's Alaska even Alaskans admit they're different than other Americans.  By the way are you going to change your name after Dubya takes his U-Haul back to Texas?  Not trying to be mean but I thought you were even disenchanted.
