Subject: Wake me up when Election Day Ends!

Written By: MrCleveland on 10/30/08 at 10:56 pm

I'm sorry, but I don't like either candidate and I might decide to go for Ralph Nader or Jon Stewart!

Obama is going to win anyhow!

you could always vote for Alan Keyes  :)    and based on the what is shown on tv and the internet, one would think Obama has it won, butt like I always say in my softball games...don't do your victory dance until you've won.  he hasn't been elected yet and I wouldn't celebrate too soon if i were him or his supporters. voters will decide on Tuesday, hopefully only legit voters.  ::)

I'll be proud to vote for Obama!  He's not closest to my ideals, Brian Moore the Socialist candidate is, but Obama is the first major party candidate since I've been eligable to vote for whom I am enthusiastic.

Heh! I remember us silly British people being 'taken in' in a similar way by a certain T. Blair...my, how we laughed in hindsight!

I too, am undecided. I do not know who I am going to vote for but I do know who I will not vote for.
Neither Candidate is suitable for me, I don't trust the Pied Piper and I've certainly had enough of Bush's
policies. Maybe I'll take Monty Brewster's advice and cast my vote for "None Of The Above!"

I think I'll be going for the none of the above option too.

In a way, I agree. And IMO, Bush is basically old news anyhow. He has been throughout 2008.

That's how I had to vote in March because the machines that I have in Ohio were sheesh.

I'm hoping we still use paper at my polling place. I'm sure we do. no matter what, paper or machine I'm gonna vote for the winner as I always do and always have.  ;)

Well, for me, I always was voting against rather than voting for, hence the lack of enthusiasm.  This time I'm voting for not against...but I'm cagey about the election getting sabotaged again!

I hear ya. I was talking about this to Carlos the other night. 4 years ago, I started a poll here (you can probably find it if you are ambitious enough-I'm not  :D ;D ;D ) and it seems like the majority of the people here at our little message board voted AGAINST the other candidate.

And yeah, the other of having the election sabotaged, stolen or rigged has not escaped me, either. http://l.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons7/42.gif

That's what I'm afraid of with this election too. ACORN may butt-in.

ACORN is harmless.   A few of their volunteers were turning in bogus registration cards, which is a fair cry from tampering in an election.  Sean Hannity and co. finger-pointing is a case of the proverbial tell-tale heart!

Palin will be back, to be sure, but like Quayle, she's not gonna get the nod.  Last night I caught some of "Night at the Roxbury" on TBS.  Now that movie reminded me of the Palin family!
:D

I've been admonishing people from the start that Obama is a politician and he got where he is by playing the game.  It is true he has a lot of grassroots support, but you don't raise more than half a billion dollars without signficant support from Wall Street and the Military-Industrial complex.  That's just the way it goes.  Still, if he wins, I know I'm going to hear endless bellyaching from the Left that Obama's a sell-out.  He's not a sell-out.  He's a player.  If he did like Kucinich, Nader, or Jerry Brown and refused to play the game the way the big boys play it, he would have gotten about as far as those three did!

It's time to remember Yogi Berra, "It ain't over 'till it's over!"  A friend of mine was talking about how he was at an Obama victory party this weekend.  Now, I'm not superstitious, but if I was, I'd say that's a good way to jinx yourself!

John Kerry + John Edwards + John McCain = john paper!

the infamous 866 ###-#### number calls at least 3 times a DAY    wait, I sure hope it's not the Cal State Lottery calling $$  :o

but yes, robocalls are illegal here in California and yet they do it all the time. I think if the caller is out of state they aren't bound by our regulation

Actually I think they are.  They registry is national.  You want to scare them a bit ask them who they are then tell them you are on the registry.  Oh, and charities are exempt from the do not call list.

Political calls are also exempt.  I used to get bucketloads of telemarketers.  When I got on the list all I got were charities and Bush/Kerry calls.
