The head guy at the "Obama Forum" has announced that he is going to start banning people who present opposing views.

From what I gather they're not suggesting opposing points of view just antagonizing. Coincidentally this happens even in the Hannity forum. ::)

um... the site is called Obama Supporters. If you're not a supporter, you probably don't belong there and are just trolling (disrupting).
It has nothing to do with "America" or first amendment rights or anything else. It's called maintaining a forum. People want to talk about Obama and can't because a bunch of people think it would be more fun to prevent the people who want to talk about Obama from doing it.
You want to see this in action, try posting a serious "I love Obama" thread on Red State, or Little Green Footballs, or anywhere the "conservatives" hide online.

I still think the funniest bans happened on VNN forum - apparently, some members weren't racist enough for the admin's taste. :o Maybe the anti-Obama trolls can find a home there, lol.

as someone who has run messageboards for twenty years all I can say is, good luck with that. A total waste and drain on his system for a bunch of people that should be somewhere else.

Yeah, I was sort of reluctant to say anything, but some of the people that are regular members on that board come off sounding really bad.

You guys do know the Obama Forum is a joke parody site, right? The site owner ("adam") is a Ron Paul supporter and pretty much everyone on that site is a Ron Paul supporter. It's an inside joke among Paul supporters. The site is heavily promoted on RonPaulForums.com and DailyPaul.com. It's a parody of Obama supporters and people who are "for real" conservatives openly are banned so the joke can continue.

I didn't explore the site, it did seem kind of fishy. Too highbrow for regular conservatives, which is why they're probably snaring a bunch of them.
