Umm if I ever have to pay off my brother's debt I'm screwed.  As if debt collection weren't painful enough.

Doesn't surprise me.  Debt collectors are a sleazy bunch, even if they're employing "the human touch".

It's nice how the DCM employees get foosball time and massages because they're so stressed out from harassing people who's relatives have just died. ::)

It's f**King Dickensian man!  It reminds me of something out of Nicholas Nickleby

I'm sorry to hear survivors are paying these skinflints because it says to the collection industry, "this is worth it!"


Lots of times people die in debt because of our dysfunctional health care system. 


I can see the Republicans floating a bill to make next of kin legally obliged to pay the debts of the deceased.  If they had the votes, they'd do it!
