And gets mugged by teenagers in that area...no joke.

I go by there all the time! I feel vulnerable.

And that was from a Church Festival that was celebrated since 1912. Expect that to be guarded next year.

It's always so disturbing when something like this happens in your own neck of the woods.  What a shame  :(

Let's not forget that it was during a San Rocco Festa procession that Don Vito Corleone "made his bones" in the mob.  :o

That said, my humble hometown on the outskirts of Picksburgh has the premiere San Rocco Festa in the United States and we don't have that sort of mayhem going on.

(Until the next day then it's back to murder as usual).
