Great. Now the US and State governments get to pay even more health care bills.
That said, the prior ban was fairly unenforceable because nobody is doing AIDS tests at the border.

Actually no. With the stigma still attached with AIDS only a small number actually are treated. Most public health care plans don't cover the med cocktail needed to keep the condition in check.

That ban wasn't effective anyway. Most carriers don't even know they're infected.
At least it keeps Lou Dobbs in bitching material...

I'd love to be able to complain, but the fact is a lot of people carrying it have no idea, especially those coming from countries without the facilities to check these things, plus, it's not like anybody was going to admit to it unless they were actually tested which would be just another cost for the taxpayer.
