Maybe it' because it's (the convention) secretly run by The Stonecutters?

;D

Oooooooh, the "media elite" is sooooooo media elitely, that "we" are not going to invent them to our tea party!

;D

Don't the media elite is going to find out, what took place their sooner or late!

Maybe they don't want the media to see how many people DON'T show up.  It's not likely many will with the exorbitant price tag, which IS between $349-549, plus money for a room and food.

I thought the Tea Party was all about the interests of the little people? ???

I also think that could be it.

Personally, I think that the whole thing, is a bad joke, with no punch line.

Read the comments section on YouTube for any hard-right video, then imagine quotes of those people playing on the six o'clock news.

That's why the Tea Party scares me.

I know they're a bunch of right wing thugs who are embarrassed to admit it.  They rank right there with Neo-Nazis and the KKK.

That's putting it lightly. They are a bunch of ******* and ************.  I am really happy to be Canadian, and not have to deal with the Tea Party members.

They fricking scare me.

I don't know why they would want to exclude the media.

75% of the reason to even have conventions is to "get the word out to the masses" and that means media.

I think the organizers are getting scared of "the masses" because the people are really nervous and pissed off  You can't really have a populist movement when what you stand for hurts the people.  The gravy train was over ten years ago.  Since then, the corporate interests have been selling the illusion of the gravy train.  They know it won't be long before folks stop buying the illusion.  Time for the royalty to hole up in Versailles.

These people are so delusional. They are crying that their freedoms are being taken away but they want to take away other people's freedoms. They want freedom of speech but only for them. They don't want anyone else to speak-especially if people disagree with them (which is why a certain board member locked a thread.)

Isn't charging people to get in the exact opposite of what all this tea party crap is supposed to represent?

Or is it an absolutely perfect representation?

*scratches head*

I have a longstanding complaint very similar about PC, which generally comes from the far left.  They want free speech for themselves and censorship for those they disagree with.  When you consider money and influence, there is a difference, but the principle is the same.

Same with actions.  If you don't like guns and don't approve of hunting, don't buy a gun and don't go hunting.  If you're against abortion, don't have an abortion.  If you're against same-sex marriage, don't marry somebody of the same sex.  Free to choose!

I've talked to a woman who's a member of the Tea Party.  Former high school chum of mine now a stay home Mom who thinks nothing but God, Country and family.  In that order.  She also is a birther and says if you take away her first amendment rights, she'll use her second.  She's for kicking RINOS out of the Republican Party even if it means increasing Dems numbers.  Needless to say I try to avoid her.

Maybe if they paid me $550 and head it would sweeten the deal.  I also require a chocolate eclair!
